yeha free demos would be a start at least. but i think even a limited offer of sponsered downloads would be quite possible.
all the time -free games...not so because of the distribution net of nintendo...you know...they like money...they like to bath in it...and rub it all over their bodys
The problem is who exactly is going to volunteer their time, effort and money to do this?
Spot on!
I hate it when someone gripes about something and compares it to something else that isn't even related (iTunes app store). Who cares about more games if the vast majority is going to be absolute rubbish??? More does not equal better. You think there's a lot of shovelware now...
Food for starving people should be free. Health care for the desolate and impoverished should be free. Good WiiWare games that took a lot of hard work, time and money to make should not. Programmers and developers gotta eat too!
@Eripmav Hey man sounds like you're a dev from Gothenburg or working with those guys? I was wondering if you would know if there is any way to implement Wii speak in a Wiiware game? I Have ideas for some games but before starting up I would really like to know if it's even a possibility with wii speak in a 40 megs limit? Looking forward to the musketeers.
I'm in blighty, I just work for the Gothenburg doods:) Yeah WiiSpeak's definately possible, I daresay it wouldn't add much to the over all size of the files. Question is though, would people utilise it if it was implemented in a decent MP specific game?
We need a free WiiWare adgame like Doritos Dash of Destruction on XBLA. All my friends with a 360 say it is excellent. I haven't tried it myself, though.
I for one think a lot of people will definately get the free Punch-Out Doc Lewis game when Nintendo releases it in November 2009! I mean us Club Nintendo members deserve one heck of an awesome prize!

Then your friends need to play some real games. Doritos Dash is bloody awful!
The only reason I say no is due to the pricing structure of wiiware. A ton of 500pts games bring whole new meaning to the term "you get what you pay for". We do get friiware anyway. It's called Doc Louis Punch-Out. Now free VC is another story. I'd eat that up like the bear in my avatar, lol!
