Topic: Tatsunoko vs Capcom - One week on!

It's officially 1 week (UK release) since the release of one of the BEST Wii titles to date. Did you buy it? Did it blow your mind like it did mine? What did you think of the online (I think its top notch). Are even still playing or have you moved onto something else?

Personally I don't see myself playing anything else for a long time, this game has me addicted lol it has so much depth, is amazing fun and has the replayability that good online brings. It has instantly become one of my favourite Wii titles right next to PunchOut!! and even after the honeymoon period has passed my love is just as strong if not stronger, actually most definitely stonger hehe.

Would love to hear about your one week on impressions, fave characters, epic matches, random things you found fun or interesting. Lets keep the TatsuCap hype going on a little longer, this title certainly deserves it!

Still playing it, and still loving it. I don't even have a desire to play anything else at this point, and I'm not sure what else is coming out in the near future (don't particularly care either).

I'm constantly being surprised by the array of moves and how they're put together in combos and pulled off. According to the Nintendo Channel, I've put in 24 hours so far.

The online is great, in terms of connectivity. I've come up against some really cheap players online, which can be a little frustrating, but not unexpected. Players use what works, especially in Ranked matches, to get their % up. These types of games constantly go through changes as players adapt new techniques and figure out new tricks (such as the dash glitch which just started seeing discussion yesterday) to gain the edge over their opponents. I'm pretty typically outmatched if I play online during the day - I see far more good players during the day than at night, though maybe at night there are more average/new players playing. Either way, it's a bit discouraging to get trashed over and over, so I'm making a point to not play ranked matches during the day as I clearly don't have as much time to practice as some. However, it is good for learning some interesting combos for characters I don't typically play.

And I agree - easily one of the best Wii games to date.

Me neither, I bought Max and the Magic Marker on the same day as TastsuCap and is has had no playtime at all, actually this title hasn't even left my Wii since I got it hehe.

Me too, every time I start practicing with a new character I'm always amazed at how different the programmers managed to make them and yet keep them all surprisingly equal, this is also one of the first online titles that actually makes me want to actively get better at it, the amount of time I put into practice mode perfecting my skills is just as enjoyable as the time I spend testing these skills online.

Its good to see another fan, I hope a few months down the line people are still playing this awesome game as I'd hate for the online community to die off. I also really enjoyed our matches, hope to play u again soon! Thanks for postin' bro!

Ill put my code in the thread when I play it next. I see that you use Batsu as a main. Ive started using him randomly and he's good! Like Ryu but different. In a good way.

EDIT: I just head the opening song the whole way through. Its so bad. One of the worst songs Ive heard in recent memory.

I hope to get it in a few weeks. I've been wanting to jump into "real" fighters, and this seems like my chance!

Interesting you see better daytime players but perhaps they don't work or go to school so they play 8 hours a day.

I just don't have the time to put into these types of games anymore. I'd love to have this game about 15 years ago. As is, it is amazingly tantalizing...but with only an hour here or there to game, I just sit and thing about how much fun I would have if I had more time to play.
I've really enjoyed what I've played, but also seen just how much time it's going to take to be 'good' with the combo system, and it's simply more time than I have. Hard to let it go though...

I bought Metroid Prime Trilogy a half year ago and I have played it only for an hour
If I were you I wouldn't sell the game and just wait until I have more time for it, I'm pretty sure you will regret selling it when you have some spare time but you don't have the game anymore

The stupid shops here still don't sell the game so I'm pretty pissed right now, let's hope they'll have it next week cause otherwise I will be even more pissed off.
