There`s nothing worse (by worse I mean difficult), in the game but the last star.

Super Mario Galaxy is a walk in the park.
SMG 2 is a walk across no man`s land.

I have 20 green stars now, and, they are really fun to get, but they seem kinda weird, like a hack or something. They are all named either green star 1,2, or 3. And they are kinda just plopped in the weirdest of places, it kinda seemes like something action replay or gameshark would do.

But I'm not complaining! They are cool as heck!

I thought smg1 was a heck of alot harder than smg2. Galaxy 2, for me was waaay easyer. It might simply be because when I got smg, I had only previously played sunshine, so my mario skills have improved greatly since the original.

Just found the best thing in galaxy 2 eveh! an infinate 1up trick
SPOILERS!

In supermassive galaxy , on the koopa troopa planetoid, jump on the koopas shell until you get a 1up, every time you bounce on the shell, bang, anothe 1up! You cant hurt the koopa without the drill, so you'l just go "boing 1up, boing, 1up, BOING 1up"

I got 99 1ups within 10 seconds... I found this myself while trying to get green star 2 in supermassive! Plz don't take credit for my tip!

Me and a friend have pretty much been playing this game for 12 hours straight. We've got 223 stars...and there's no sign of stopping.

Weeeeellll... You stopped to post that! lol.

I was kind of dissapointed by supermassive galaxy. It was very VERY cool, but everything in it was HUGE, which is cool, but the world itself was very short.

^ A lot of concepts from this game went underused. Like Yoshi, he was used just right amount of times, but then slowly faded away in the later galaxies.

Yoshi made everything easier. Probably the sole reason you must have the cloud suit for the last star.

Yeah, but they could have made the level around Yoshi's abilities, so they wouldn't seem easy. But they didn't witch sucks...

Has anyone else beat the game yet?

^ No. I am playing this game very slowly. I'm exploring every galaxy thoroughly and talking to every character I meet.

However, on the Yoshi topic. Yeah, Yoshi could have had harder levels, think about using a dash pepper across poisonous water, or certain enemies that could harm Yoshi if eaten.

Another underused ability is rock Mario, it only was in what, 4 worlds? Cloud Mario was in many, MANY worlds, and was put in just the right amount of times!

I've been at 241 for a while, haven't tried for the last star in quite some time (I've died 50-some times).

That's because Rock Mario has somewhat limited capabilities and potential. Aside from rolling forward at high speeds, it's not really good for much (even if it IS quite fun, and the obstacle course in the Melty Monster Galaxy is quite possibly my favorite mission in the game. The Cloud Mario suit, on the other hand, is far more versatile and compliments Mario's existing abilities quite well.

Played 5 hours and got 44 stars. I believe world 1 & 2 are almost completed except for 3 stars (and the green stars of course).

Ok, I know somebody probably already asked this, but how do get green stars?
I just don't want to go through 23 pages looking for the answer.

Collect the first 120 and the next 120 stars, which are green, will appear.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

I just got the 241st star last night, and had no clue that you had to have so damn many star bits to open up the 242nd star. I only have around 4,000 or so, so I will most likely be playing Melty Monster Star 2 over and over and over tonight. Not really looking forward to that, but I need to get the last star and complete this game if you want to considering myself a gamer.
Wish me luck!
