And even if I beat them all I get is and uber sword or summon like in GS:TLA it's like after beating that do I really need more power?

Don't tell me you don't go around and spam Iris on normal enemies just for the fun of it. I do it all the time...it's refreshing.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I admit I do... but it doesent seem practical, that thing was epic and after beating im not gonna gonna be able to beat anymore bosses that I coudent before useing that summon.
I woud have liked a liitle something extra for that... alternate ending, or a pin-up of Jenna

I know, I was just messing with ya. It's just one of those awesome-yet-impractical things that games'll give ya. It's just too cool not to attack a stupid Punch Ant with though...

And I'd love that pin-up too...

So much fun. And then your whole team is perfectly healed. Such an awesome summon...you're right, it should have been more useful.

Ack, true, true...I'd still pwn his backside, though...for something like that? Nothing would stand in my way...

Poor control -example Exit DS, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz (Wii)
Just plain useless -example Some of the clock/calculator hybrids on DSiWare, My Aquarium (WiiWare)

@SSBFan: ....Brawl's roster was kinda alright but if they plan to expand/make more characters available then I'm good! (Too bad an SSB game on DS/DSi wouldn't be in the cards.... Add Midna/Wolf Link to the roster, not Tom Nook!

Mandatory tutorials. I can tolerate an explanation of how something works, but not going into a whole tutorial. Especially in the Pokemon games, where the tutorials are only for those who don't know a Pikachu from a Bulbasaur.

Random encounters, especially on a turn-based battle system. In Pokemon, this is annoying, and it's even more annoying when trainers are made to spot you, forcing you into battle. Good thing Gale of Darkness doesn't have any of that.

Cutscenes where you have to sit there and press A to get through the dialog. It's especially annoying with the Owl in Ocarina of Time. "Do you want to hear what I said again?" >Yes, No {strangles owl, then selects No}

Invisible walls- it makes getting places harder than necessary

Auto-jump- it makes jumping accurately even more frustrating, and makes walking along beams very difficult

Another annoyance about Pokemon is you can't choose your age. With the exception of Coliseum, all Pokemon games feature kids as the main characters. That means that all the adults treat you as one. "This is a place for grown-ups" is so lame. You should be able to choose whether you're a kid, teen, or adult.

If you want to hear stupid, one game intro ruin it. Of course I wasn't bright with flaws back then. Check my latest blog post if you want to learn what game it was.

I tend avoid guides and walkthroughs until after I beat a game, so to avoid having anything major spoiled. But sometimes even guides don't help. Like in Patapon, where you have to do the rain dance to get past the desert. The timing is very picky, and it's a different beat then all the other commands which up until point have been a simple 1-2-3-4 set-up. You could only activate this move after 10 (I think) consecutive beats, and it always took two uses to actually get me through the desert.

I watched videos on you-tube, read guides (Which pointed out this "tutorial" level is probably one of the hardest in the game), and it still took my umpteen tries and a lot of yelling to get through it. =P

Does the PS3's hard disk install (which I've heard takes "forever") make games load any faster from then on?

I can't stand it when I'm trying to watch a new cut scene and someone walks in and starts talking my ear off. I don't mind as much with games that let you replay cut scenes but there have been times I missed entire scenes leaving me lost as to what is going on in the story.

I don't know for sure, but I'd say yes. It's the same with PC games, how more you install on your hard drive, the faster it loads.

Nintendo either needs to switch to server-based online game engines (rather than peer-based) or they need to drastically improve the peer's ability to automatically detect that someone is cheating and kick them out of the room. Their current system is painfully naive.

Getting lost or stuck with no clue's as to what to do next.Arrrgghhh Getting lost is usually my own terrible sense of direction (hence why it's taking me forever to finish fallout 3!!) but games that give you no clues as to what your next task or location is infuriates me at which point I usually give up for a year or so ,go back to it ,get stuck again and never play it again, metroid on NES was like this for me, as are a lot of old school RPG's.

What's this bit for again?
