Topic: Story Line for SMG 2

All theories for the story line of SMG 2 Here!

That's a hard one, but I'll take a crack at it anyway! Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach, and Mario goes on a quest to save her!

Well, Shiggy said he wanted less story in SMG2, so I don't think they're even going to try anything much to justify bringing Bowser back from falling into a planet comprised of lava and subsequently exploding.

i ment continuing on from the stuff that happened at the end of the first one!

Less story? Oh my.

the story book in the first was the worst part of SMG

They could have a cosmic creature revive Bowser, and use him as his unwitting puppet to seize control of the cosmos for him. In addition, the aforementioned cosmic creature could have a heroic double, one that would help Mario on his quest by providing him with useful information and possible aid in battle. And, as an added twist, Peach would save Bowser from the cosmic creature's grip at the climax, and Mario could pair up with Bowser against him, and (with the help of the heroic double) save the galaxy! Of course, there's going to be less story, so this scenario probably won't come to pass. Still, sounds neat.

What about the story book didn't you like?

I really hope it's not the same typical storyline with Princess Peach getting captured again, it's honestly getting old....There should be a higher power, or maybe even have Princess Peach turned evel(possesed) and you end up fighting against her while she's doing Bowser bidding. Or how's about Wart escaping Mario's deam world and reaking havoc along with his SMB2 baddies?....Ya ya, I know none of this will happen, but I'm hoping for at least something different and Fresh.

And yes, I too hated the Story Book....And I wasn't crazy ove the Hub World either. Thank god SMG2 is bringing back the SMB3/World-like map.

Why the storybook hate? It's not like you had to read it, anyway.

I'll give it a shot..

Due to the recent economic hardships around the world. Mario joins a group of volunteers in an experimental starship to go around the universe to collect valuable materials that can be used back on earth for manufacturing processes. Unbeknowst to Mario (but knownst to us) Bowser has joined a rival group doing the exact same thing, how did he come back? It doesn't matter. Why is he the bad guy? Because Nintendo tells us he is. But anyway, as he goes around fining materials we find that the valuable material will be (surprise!) Stars! So as Mario collects the stars and fights Bowser, we find out that the leader of the rival group is Wario, who has decided to go straight and have an honest job. How did he afford to build a starship and more importantly, why didn't he just license the tech out instead of going after stars? You ask too many questions. So Mario kills many innocents in his greedy endeavors but he still will be looked at as a hero, and yeah, I got nothing...

The real story is that Nintendo wants to sell more Wii's and games so they just throw Mario in an expansion of the first game and wait for the money to print itself lol

Dry Bowser. That's the enemy, not Bowser.

I loved the story. It was the best part of SMG. Not only the storybook, which I thought was awesome although could have used more voice acting, but the ending scene with Bowser and the whole new galaxy was just amazing. I have a great story for a sequel in my mind, and I can't believe they're just ditching that. I think it has NO story this time, except for this tree kid. This is really disappointing for me.. it makes SMG2 feel like an expansion pack and not a sequel. I honestly was never more disappointed about a game than now.

Uhhh....... Bowsers not dead after he fell into the lava and the universe exploded, they were all brought back by the Star Creatures (I forgot their names) and he looks at Mario when he gets up like Ah Crap.

Yeah, I guess some of the cut scenes were good.

The story: Rosalina's sad that Mario left her and she desperately wanted to see him again. Jealous of Peach's hold on Mario, she healed Bowser and Bowser Jr. and teamed up with them to kidnap Peach. Pretending to be in trouble herself by letting Bowser "kidnap" her as well, she asks her Star Kids to tell Mario to travel through a series of new galaxies. Unaware that the route is actually the opposite of where Peach is being held, Mario springs to action. Little does he know that Rosalina is secreting mixing a love potion that will make Mario fall for her and that Bowser's fleet is preparing for an all out attack on the Mushroom Kingdom while Mario is away.

that's the brilliant part.. everything is reborn. it's a whole new beginning. in this universe, Bowser Mario and the rest have to start over and make new choices. it's one of the most awesome endings ever. Too bad it came too early though, and SMG2 should have continued it.

Peach gets captured by Bowser.

Rosalina comes in her starship to take Mario to the new galaxy where they are at.

Mario beats Bowser. The End.

Ok, here's my story.

In the new universe created after the explosion, Bowser pretends to be a good guy. He changed his ways. One day Bowser comes to the castle and begs for Mario's help because Bowser Jr. has apparently been captured by Tatanga. Mario agrees and travels to the galaxies where Bowser Jr. is held. 30 stars.

Of course that turns out to be a trap and Mario is captured.

Bowser goes to capture Princess Peach but accidentally falls onto a large trap made by the Toad Brigade. The Toad Brigade accidentally throws the trapped Bowser into the bowels of space.

Princess Peach is worried about Mario and asks Luigi to go and find Mario in the galaxies. 30 stars until Luigi finds Mario but is captured as well in the last second.

Princess Peach is anxious to see what's up with Mario and Luigi and goes herself to find them... 30 stars played by the Princess, only to be captured by Bowser Jr. as well. Bowser Jr. surprised to see Princess Peach finds out that his father is missing, begs for forgiveness and asks Mario for help. Mario contacts Rosalina who tells him that Bowser has been sent to an alternate universe.

In the alternate universe, Mario is an evil king, and Bowser tries to escape this universe, played by Bowser - 30 stars until he's captured by Evil Mario.

Mario finally finds a way to enter the alternate universe and he battles through these galaxies (30-60 stars) until the final fight where he fights Evil Mario and wins.

All is well and everyone is back into the original Mushroom kingdom, both Bowser and Bowser Jr. are forgiven and promise to behave. Except that as the credits roll, Mario's eyes become red and a small sinister grin appears on his face...
