Tried using the Wii remote and nunchuk at first. It was OK, but found it too awkward and uncomfortable (particularly having to regularly reach up from the A button to the dpad. Plus pressing a direction on the dpad for an action doesn't feel as satisfying as a proper button). Soon went back to the good old GameCube controller. It's a much more natural fit for Smash Bros.
I was too used to the GC Controller for Melee to use anything else for Brawl.

Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
