Topic: Metroid: Other M Thread of SPOILERS

lol playing through the game (Normal...>_>) again, this time, not getting stuck once, and I die rarely as well, heh heh. Question though...about the story...like, who was attempting to kill Adam? Forget when it happens exactly...but you see the bullet slide across the floor...the part confused me, cause I thought the "Deleter" person was near MB.

i got through some suitless lava segments today, and man, you'll have to stop and do concentration at least once in order to make it across a few of them. speaking of lava... if i have one solidly negative thing to say about this game, it's that the way they handled falling into lava. it's so irritating trying to jump out and not being able to for a few seconds.

and yes, still absolutely no pickups. it's amazing how much emptier the game is without them... those little rewards really make a metroid game. i'm still going because i like the challenge, but it really isn't as much fun. also, no accel charge means you have to rely on the sense move to pull off certain attacks. your window for doing a lethal strike often isn't long enough to fully charge without an accel or two, so often you'll have to dodge one enemies attack to fully charge your gun so that you can run up to another and kill him. rough, but pretty rewarding to pull off.

Wow, this game is so great yet it made me want to cry. First, they killed off Anthony, my favorite character, and then Adam died honorably. by adding enough damage for Sector Zero for it to detach and self-destruct. But the way the play the scene out its like "OH MY GOD!", he of course says "Any objections, Lady?" and she gives him the infamous thumbs-down, the way it should be used.

As for plot twists, I really never would have guessed that the fuzzball of doom was really a baby Ridley that eventually evolved into the one we all know and love. (The cutscene that tells you that still bothers me). And that Adam Malkovich is the real leader of the entire Bioweapon/Metroid Military project, to make a "special forces unit" composed of Metroids and Space Pirates. Crazy huh? So now we must find out who the traitor is......K.G. or James?

Having watched the Theater Mode on Youtube (I won't get the game for months and was already reading spoilers), you forget that Adam explained that he gave a report on the subject that included the recommendation that it NOT be done, but the fringe group behind the project instead used the information in his report to get them started.

bobbery, it's james. kg is the only body not recovered, meaning he's swimming with the lava fishes.

It is obviously James, and this fact is proved with two crucial pieces of evidence, your honour.
First, we see him playing with the computer in the tower, seconds before we discover the data was erased, (prior to the first fight with Ridley).
Second, his body is found near the place where Samus was talking with MB, impliying he was the one who tried to kill her.
That is all your honour.

Well I have a question, wasn't the body that the Traitor (now known to be James) got Maurices body and kicked it into the Lava? Or was it K.G.'s body that he kicked off?

I also realized that James got to the Exam Center before everybody else.

Someone tried to kill me? Why don't I remember that? I guess I'll have to watch that Metroid "movie" after all. I thought the Deleter was just a fabrication of Madeleine's to have Samus looking in the wrong direction.

I believe that was Adam's headset, not a bullet. He probably tossed the headset in a hurry so he can go rescue everyone.

The gunshot was during the Ridley fight before Samus was talking to MB about sector Zero and I believe it wasn't an attempt to kill Adam the most logical thing that it was, was some sort of communication jammer letting the player find out that the deleter was James because he was in charge of Communications. Also because in the ending when Zero Suit Samus is having a flashback about Adam, he was still in the room and couldn't tell Samus what was going on because that event happened after he lost comminication with Samus. It also couldn't have been KG either because he was the one who was pushed into lava because his body was never found (that is what is says on the character bios on the end) Kind of confusing.

Also anyone else realize that the distress signal "Baby's Cry" was coming from the Bottle Ship. The baby needed a bottle...I'll be quite now.

Yep that right, if you think logically, Because Samus power suit is so damn powerful, its signal can deflect any ECM, so that's why Adam was receiving in the end. But , on Adam side, at a moment, his signal was cut, so he wasn't able to tell Samus the danger when she talked with MB.

So: James is a bastard, and it was well played.

ah, so i finally kind of know what that scene was about now. another one that's got me confused is the very opening scene where a field of debris is being destroyed; i assume those are the remains of bottle ship getting blasted by the federation?

The only thing I didnt get was that little rabbit thing. So thats what baby ridleys look like? Or how did he get inside a wierd rabbit thing.... and then he was in a giant purple lizard? Ridley is one squiddly dude
My personal favorite part was when samus saw the long pit, and said "any objections adam?" That is the way samus should have been through the whole story. Quite depressing how that was the only real funny thing samus said Anthony was great though, I love him and how he survives, but I couldnt quite make out what he said in his dialouge with big nose (who is that guy anyway?), something about them missing eachother?
Anyhow, it was a really enjoyable romp, and now I gotta go get pickups for hard mode :3

EDIT: Speaking of pickups, theres this one in main sector that I cant get. Its in a room shaped like a donut with a bunch of those bugs in it, and the pickup is supposedly in the dead center of the room. This leads me to believe I need to find a morph ball passage to go under it, but I cant find anything... tips?

I thought what was happening during that scene was Samus imagining what was happening to Adam: that the deleter would be after him. I thought she even said something to that effect
