Hopefully the first X will show up around the time after 6 or 7's release. ...Someday.
With X2 and X3 though, the C4 emulation might be a problem. (If Nintendo's Super FX chip games like Star Fox and Yoshi's Island are just a hint of why those aren't out either)

I honestly don't know how much of an issue that'd be. Hilariously, for all the tooting of its own horn Capcom did about the fancy chips for those games, they were BARELY utilized in game, not to the extent the Super FX chip had been on the SNES. So I imagine the C4 chip had simpler or less obtrusive architecture.
Dear Sega and Nintendo: a Sonichu game would totally rock, make it happen! Backloggery
@ Link-Hero: A Link to the Past didn't use any special chips. The spinning triforces were handled on a software level. Mega Man X1 didn't use any special chips either. Mega Man X2 and X3 did, but it wasn't the FX chip, but rather a custom chip developed by Capcom (called C4).
I'm sure they'll come out someday. And if not, there'll always be the Mega Man X Collection compilation.
Yeah if you want to pay about $100 for it on Gamecube Its probably just cheaper to by a SNES and the games individually.
That it a shock. It's not really cheaper. X1 wasn't worth very much last I checked, but the US cart of X2 can go for like $40 and X3 goes for like $60. I think the SFC carts are cheaper. I paid about $30 for a Rockman X2 cart like a decade ago (not to encourage it, but I think that was just after it was first supported in emulators, so that probably dropped the value a bit, as a few pirates were probably suddenly willing to sell off their legit copies ). I think I paid about $25 for a Rockman X3 cart last year. (aren't the PAL versions rarer than the US?)
That is for a new copy (I wont buy used games online) Every time I check with the Gamestops in my area they only have the PS2 version and I am looking for the Gamecube since I dont use my PS2 a whole lot cause its on its last legs.
And yeah I got it when it first came out on the GC as well KingMike but I traded it in cause I was laid off of my job and I needed the money for a few bills.

$100 is better than the prices for new copies on eBay. A used copy may be the only financially sane way to own this game. As long as the disc isn't scratched into oblivion and still plays, paying $20 or $30 is a much better option.
