Huh. I've barely played the first game so far, so I can't really comment on that one. Should probably get back to it soon. I'm guessing the sequel wouldn't be on the Wii, though.
Epic Mickey 2 is probably going on Wii u (if it's real, but it sounds legit) they interviewed Warren Spector for the Wii u (But it was more 'What Does Famous Developers think?) Also it seems that Junction Point isn't bankrupt. And they aren't doing anything lately. Also there was a rumour Epic Mickey is going on 3DS.
I enjoyed the first one. Camera was manageable and did not give me much issues as others. But the pointer was really screwy. Fix that and patch the game up for the sequel. The art in the game was real inspiring and it was cool to see the Mickey Mouse SNES game thrown in there as a reference as well
Never did I expect that. Hopefully, they'll have a second perspective seen from Oswald's eyes if he's in it. Expand on the RPG elements and it's all set.
I really like the 1st one was great but they could fix when the end you have to start at the beginning all over hated that but it was Awsome game it could have a bigger RPG though and co op be awsome.

Personally looking forward to this one - I loved the atmosphere of the first one (even if I did have some qualms with the camera and some controlling especially later on in the game). I would love to see Oswald take a bigger part in the sequel!
Wow - guess I'm late to this thread, but I'm very excited by the prospect of Epic Mickey 2! I think Oswald being a playable character could be fabulous. Minnie Mouse would be an awesome inclusion in the story as well - especially early-era feisty Minnie. As some others have said, the gameplay in the original wasn't perfect and the camera was pretty flawed. There was a lot of fetch-questing which left something to be desired. And yet...some elements of the game, such as storytelling, atmosphere and certain levels (I'm looking at you Mickeyjunk Mountain) were quite awesome. When you look at some of the concept art, you realize that it could have been even awesomer, however. I really, really hope that they make a sequel, tighten up gameplay and manage to tell another compelling story. (and please get rid of those fetch-quests! Good grief).
This game (if it's good enough) may be enough to sway me to buy a WiiU, which I'm very on the fence about right now. I really do hope they go for deeper gameplay with a sequel. I wouldn't mind darker gameplay either, through I understand Disney is a family license. I really thought the ending in the first game was going to be more of a significant moral choice than it ended up being. (I mean, if Oswald had taken Mickey's heart, based on player's actions and Mickey ended up stuck in wasteland while Oswald replaced Mickey's existence, that would have been wild. More Twin Peaks than Disney, but it still would have been quite interesting).
@baukster: They never would have done something like that. Epic Mickey was ALL about healing the relationship between Mickey and Oswald.
