Topic: SNES Yoshi's Cookie and Wario's Woods VC release possible?

I liked the SNES versions of Yoshi's Cookie and Wario's Woods better than their NES counterparts. Since both have been released on the VC for the NES versions, do you think Nintendo will eventually put the SNES versions on the service too? The Wonderboy games, Golden Axe, and others have had the same games in different formats released on the VC so do you think Nintendo will do the same?

Yes they are possible. Nintendo are just choosing not to do them right now. Maybe we will see them some time in the future. We don't know and couldn't possibly predict when exactly. But yes, they should appear on the VC.

I wish they'd hurry up. I hadn't downloaded the origional Wario's Woods because of the SNES one.

The NES one is quite crappy if you're very familar with the SNES game. It does have one nice feature the SNES game doesn't have - having to explode bombs next to the bosses in your well to hurt them but the rest of the game is quite poor.

I love both the NES and SNES versions of Wario's Woods. The SNES version certainly has fancier graphics and more play modes, but there is much that doesn't overlap from the NES, like the boss fights and the different "cutscene" screens in the main mode. I'd also say that the timing is different, and the NES one almost feels a bit snappier somehow, probably due to less lengthy animations for your different actions. The NES version is certainly worthy of a download if you're hesitating. I play the SNES one on the Wii as well using other means, but will happily buy it if they get around to releasing it properly.

It's very likely, especially given that they are the superior version, plus they have no issues with releasing it in the first place.
