I dug back a few pages and could not find the last Rondo of Blood thread, but if you still feel the need to lock this thread then so be it. Anyways, I did not realize up until a few days ago that the voiceover intro to Castlevania Rondo of Blood is actually the intro they used for the PSP port and not the original Japanese game. Also, the werewolf boss in the game was censored in the PSP version and not the actual game, but it appears censored in the VC version as well. I'm starting to wonder if we were given the PSP port on the VC rather than the real Japanese version.

I wouldnt be surprised. Nintendo has had a history of censoring games, especially Castlevania. Mainly nudity, the religious content and some of the blood and gore.

It might sound nitpicky, and believe me I am happy to have the game on the VC, but it just seems odd that the voice intro was changed. I mean, it wasn't translated, so why not just give us the original voiceover? The Japanese VC release was not changed. I was under the impression that was what I was buying. Oh well, life goes on lol.

Could be some kind of rights issue with the voiceover, like maybe that actor wanted more money if they re released it or maybe in the original contract there was no clause for a re release of it on another system. That problem is a big problem when it comes to bringing old TV shows to DVD. When actors contracts were written TV shows didnt come out on home media like they do today so as a result they didnt write in that clause and now if they were to ask the actors they may deny it.

Anyway I am going off the track here but I am just saying something similar could have happened with the original voice over. I do know that the ending credit song for SotN called I am the WInd ran into a similar problem. Its on the original PS one NA game but some remakes I dont know which ones right now had the end song changed due to copyright issues.
