<3 I really, really need a points card now!

(Well actually two, since I'm behind on two PWs and MM10, but one if vital)

ReZon

As soon as I saw Rondo was rated by the ESRB, I added points to the Wii. It was absolutely vital that I be prepared for this day.

I hope you get a points card soon to enjoy the Rondo.

Thanks, I'll go out and look today, I haven't been to Wal-mart in a while but my sisters have said that they've been out, and will be for a while.

I'll go look today, and hopefully I'll be able to find one there, at Shoppers, or Movie Gallery.

Rondo will probably be my only purchase since I don't need to play PW or MM10 yet.

Its here, Its here!!!! And I thought since it did not show up on Hudson's website that we would not get it this month. What a great game for the 350th VC title!!!!

To be honest, Rondo is an import, and many of us have not played this game before. I can only tell you that back in the day it was highly regarded as one of the best Castlevania games from video game magazines who covered Japanese titles. I'll find out later today how great it is. I do have the soundtrack on my ipod and its phenominal, in fact I may listen to it at the gym today before I start playing Rondo of Blood. It will help get me in a good whip slashing mood

I'm going to guess that nothing has been translated in this game. Great game but a translated version would be more exciting as I've played this in japanese via emulation a fair amount of times. Its still definitely nice that this is out there for the wii though along with the wiiware game too.

I'm loving it so far, but I have a complaint. If we are going to be charged more for an "import" (since it's just code and not a physical thing it's hard to say it's a real imported item), it would be nice if they at least added subtitles during cutscenes in the language of the region we purchase it for. I mean the opening cinematic has the VO in German and the subtitles in Japanese, sure I know the story of the game thanks to the internet, but we pay extra for them to do a little bit of localization don't we? If they don't then really we shouldn't be charged the extra 100 to 200 points. I know it's only a buck or two but it adds up over time.
Other than that I'm loving the game. BBS (big beautiful sprites), smooth animation and a killer soundtrack. This, ladies and gentlemen, is Konami at it's finest.

Edit: @Roebuck77 The Greatest American Hero is my #2 all time favorite show (Just behind Night Court and right before Mr. Belvedere). I mentioned the soundtrack to Rondo of Blood, well TGAH had the greatest opening theme song EVER. William Katt was perfect for the role and his banter with Robert Culp was priceless. Great choice of an avatar and thanks for bringing back the good memories!

There's a reason this is on my "top 15 games ever" list. Buy it. In my opinion, it is the greatest Castlevania games ever. I've already have it on disc, so I probably won't get it on VC.

I downloaded it as soon as I saw it on the Wii Shop Channel today and I think that it's great! I already unlocked Maria Renard as a playable character. This is the very first time that I have ever played this game and I am so glad that I finally get to enjoy it.

I've never played a Castlevania game before (save for the first one at my friends' house). Should I start with this one, since everyone seems so hyped about it?

Castlevania (other than 2, it's an aquired taste) is like pizza and sex, even when it's not good it's still pretty freaking great! However, if you don't want to go all in with basically a tenner, go for Castlevania 3, probably the best of the NES games and you get the feel for the series for only 5 bucks. But Rondo is great, so either way you can't go wrong.

I'd probably say Super Castlevania IV is a better entrance point. It's the easiest, but it's still quite difficult. It's also the best (aside from Rondo perhaps)

Donatello

I have yet to play Rondo of Blood or Bloodlines and i was extremely excited once i heard the news!
But i have a feeling it won't surpass the amazing experience i had with SCIV hehe.

Castlevania III and I were both fantastic as well...and while ReBirth was a solid and fun entry in the franchise I consider it to be the weakest. Then again, maybe I'm just being too hard on it....Maybe because it was alittle too short, and lacked the creativity and effort of the previous Castlevania Games. It felt like an Arcadey mash-up Remix just like Contra ReBirth did.
it's an 8/10 in my eyes. And I need to give II: Simon's Quest another chance, it's been a while since i played that confusing and frusturating game

But first thing is first! I must finish Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz . World 8's almost done hehe.
Then After that, it's time for some Rondo muhaha

PS Am I the only one who uses a Credit Card(most of the time) to get Wii Points? Sure it's more fun going out and getting the actual point Cards, but it's way more convenient to just use your credit card and buy them on your Wii. But then again, alot of people don't even have a Credit card
