Tell me, is it like Elite Beat Agents? I didn't really like that game but this looks really fun.
Its not at all like EBA. You hold the DS like a book and you either tap, flick, slide or hold and let go at the right time with the stylus to do different actions on the other screen in time with the music. For example, in one of the minigames you have to make monkey fans of a singer clap by tapping the stylus a certain amount of times after she says certain phrases. Beware, it is very hard and has a steep difficulty curve, I've only got past 5 out of 50 minigames but I imagine people who are more experienced with the genre would be better at this. The Wii version is similar but the actions but you press A or B in time with the music rather than doing movements with the stylus.
I cannot wait for this thing to come out — the original was definitely one of the greatest games of the decade.
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...
I went to Gamestop to pick-up my pre-order today, and the employees kept telling me that it didn't come out today, despite the fact that they had the full game in the Wii in the back of the store and that I went on Gamestop.com and Nintendo's website on my phone to show them that it was supposed to be released today, but they still didn't care. So I went on over to Best Buy, who at least acknowledged the fact that it was released today, but there was a problem with the shipping and they were unable to receive their copies. Those are the only two places to buy video games within an hour from my house so no Rhythm Heaven for me today. Lucky me...

I think either Gamestop or Best buy told me that even though games are released on a certain day, they always actually come in a day later. No clue what the deal is there...especially when you pre-order it. (not to mention this isn't true for systems... :/)

This was only the second time out of many trips that the store didn't have my preorder in. It was just a little irritating that both Best Buy and Gamestop didn't have it (Not to mention the Gamestop employees kept denying that it was released today) and that I'm going to have to take another 20 minute drive to the store again tomorrow.

Weird, my Gamestop understands the situation. xD They say even though the release date is today that they don't get the shipment in until tomorrow morning, lol

After playing through the first 4 stages, I feel like I'm:
Really bad at Hole in One (I've managed to get scrape together a "Superb" rating somehow, but I'm still having trouble getting the timing right with the small monkey), pretty darn good at Screwbot Factory, effortlessly good at See-saw (I'm not sure why I can't get a"Perfect" rating, I've played through it twice now without missing a cue) and, although I keep getting just "OK" for some reason, I'm good at Double Date.

I've only played the DS game myself, but in that one you can only get "Perfect" on a minigame if you are given a chance to. It'll have a little thing saying "try for perfect" or whatever on a certain game, and you get three chances. Not sure when it happens, I think you have to have an amount of Superb ratings.
