Topic: Request: Gate of Thunder Assistance

I was wondering if anyone here might be able to help me with this. I cannot for the life of me seem to get the level select cheat to work on Gate of Thunder. GameFAQs.com reports it to be this:

"At the Gate of Thunder title screen, press I, II, II, I, Select, I, II, I, II, Select, Select. Enter the options for the stage menu."

I put the code in precisely as directed and go to the configuration screen, but there's simply no "stage menu" at all. They have this code listed under the cheats for both the TG16 version and the Virtual Console version, so I assume it works for the VC version. It is afterall just the original version being emulated on the Wii.

Anyone got any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only way I can help here is to say make sure the the buttons you are pressing are mapped correct to the Wii controller. For example make sure that button I is mapped to the a button on the classic controller and that II is the B button etc.

I was trying the code in Crusin USA to get the police car and I couldnt get it to work I found out that I was pressing the wrong buttons cause I didnt know how the buttons were mapped out lol.

I don't think there's any way to change the way the buttons are mapped out, but the buttons appear to be mapped correctly as best I can tell. I've tried the code several times with both the classic controller and the Wiimote and neither work.

OMFG! I decided as an experiment to swipe the buttons(ie. press 2 instead of 1 on the wiimote) and it worked! You were 100% correct. I guess the buttons aren't mapped correctly on the VC version afterall.
