I think there's a review in NGamer. It said muddy brilliant...ahem... on the cover. I'll wait for an NL review though or some impressions from you guys. Did you get Ferrari Challenge? I hope you like it. :s
"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." Matt. 1:21.
I got Dirt 2 today and I have to say, it's quite disappointing. The handling doesn't feel realistic at all. Very floaty. The graphics aren't too bad but the frame rate is very inconsistent. Oh and that magazine that called it "muddy brilliant!" on the cover? I bought it and read the review. 59%! Figure that out. edit: Just had a thought while playing DIRT2. Is it at all possible that what we have here is a PSP game bunged on a Wii disc?
Outrunner, thanks for you post. I tought the same, that something like this is the case with DIRT2. I could think, that if nintendolife would review it, they gave it a 4/10 or. max. a 5/10.
I did read somewhere, that Ferriar Challenge is quite boring. And also on the visual side: the 1/3 of the screen takes the black roof of you car?!
Thanks for being the guinea-pig Outrunner, if I see it in a bargain bin one day I'll pick it up.
I need to find more info on Trackmania, I have no idea when it's hitting. And where is my Excitebots? I might mail Nintendo AGAIN, tell them I've got £40 earmarked for it. I hope we see it
Indeed, the graphics look sharp, and all at a locked 60fps apparently, which will be sweet. Watching the recent videos it reminded me of RR64 which I loved, what with it's over the top powerslide mechanic. I can't wait to play this, and NOT hit all the walls like the gimp in the vids. Some of those tracks are a lot prettier than I expected. Hats of to EA! did i just say that?
