I just got myself a Tatsunoko stick and am planning on sticking some Sanwa parts in there and changing the artwork and such, but I'd like to switch the buttons around to where the "Neo Geo" placed buttons correspond to the Virtual Console Neo Geo button mapping.
I was taking a look at the Neo Geo stick for Wii (link here: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=169083) and it looks like A, B, C, and D correspond to B, A, Y, and X respectively. This would be perfect if true, as that would also be great for a lot of NES VC games since I love to use those operative four buttons. Can anyone confirm for me if this is how it is on the Virtual Console, if that kind of button mapping carries over to all VC NG games or if it changes from game to game. Seems like it carries over, since I know there's a lot of complaints about button mapping on VC Neo Geo games.
I just don't want to waste my time since I'm new to arcade modding, haha.
I think it's the same on all games - it is with all the consoles too. The buttons are always mapped to the same buttons for every game on that console. If it's the "A" button on one game for that console, it'll be the "A" button on all the games - unless you can change them in the game options.
