Topic: Punch Out!! WiiWare

Platnum members of club nintendo NA get a great reward, Doc Louis' Punch Out!! Its a WiiWare version of punch out. I just ordered mine and keep checking my E-Mail to see if I received my reedem code, they said it might take 'till November! Hope not.
WHATS your opinons on the game?

Unless you play this in conjunction with one of the other Punch-Out games, it'd probably get old fast fighting the same one fighter over and over. But since I don't own any of them, I'm trading my code away (the hat does nothing for me either).

Still, I must say it's an absolutely wonderful concept, so I'm glad to be getting it, even if Sigrim were to have a change of heart later on. I hope Nintendo does this next year... but for a game I like more.

I wonder if nintendo will do something stupid and make it one universal code, so it can get leaked and I can play it.

I'm a bit disappointed in the options, to be honest. I was hoping for Tingle's Balloon game or a SNES classic controller or one of the many other really neat things that Japan has gotten. As with Adam, the hat doesn't really do it for me. (In part because the kids would get their hands on it, and that would be the end of it.) And the Punch-Out game is kind of neat, but not really all that appealing. It's not even a collector's item since it has no physical presence.

Since I need to do something with my Platinum status, I'll probably end up getting the Punch Out game. It's a bit more usable than the Mario hat. Here's hoping that next year brings better prizes! (Or at least prizes that appeal more to me. )

I'm getting the Punch-Out!! I've been interested about it, so now I can try it out. I already have a Mario hat I got on eBay.

Puch-out wiiware looks really pointless

Heh, I'm a sucker for limited edition games and whatnot (and not the fake limited editions on store shelves <.<). Alas, I made gold and not platinum. Anyone willing to trade for a calender or something?

I've seen a few Platinum Clubbers who specifically said they'd prefer a calendar. Hang around the related news threads on the front page...you may well get your trading opportunity!

If I were a Punch-Out fan, I'd be excited. Aside from multi-player, the game is made up solely of the different fighters, of which there isn't a massive selection (not a bad one, but not a huge one). An entire new level for free is pretty cool.

If they had made an extra boss battle for Brawl, an extra song for Wii Music, or anything similar for a game I like, I'd be all over it.

Tingle's Balloon Fight would be a million times better, of course, but beggars can't be choosers. I didn't expect NoA to deliver something that big; in fact, I'm surprised we got something as great as this. I figured it'd just be the hat.

I don't know what to pick. I'm not a big Punch-Out fan and I think I would just be better off buying the retail game. But the hat is just a friggin hat...

Didn't quite make Platinum, so I'm going to have to get the calendar.

I can't decide between the Mario hat or the Punch-Out!! game since neither really appeal to me. If it only has one fight versus Doc Louis, I can't really imagine there being much point to it...

Well from what I hear, that's exactly what it is.

I don't have Punch-Out!! and one fight doesn't seem that great, so I'm getting the Mario hat because I need Mario collectibles. Mario games are my passion, and I shall own this hat!

I'm assuming we'll get the different modes, like we did with all of the other fighters. A normal fight, a title-defense style fight (significantly harder, with new moves), some achievements to unlock, and maybe another mode or two. Some theories are flying around regarding an endurance mode, based on the fact that the screen shot has no KO indicators for Doc.

I think it'll be more than just a 9-minute (max) fight.

I don't remember thewiirocks saying all of that.
