Hi all!

I bought this game yesterday, but I have a problem and I don't know what to do. When I start the game, I can hear the sound, but I don't see any video. I tried changing the resolution (I'm on a PAL system, 50Hz/60Hz/480p), but without results. I tried to delete the game and download again, but that doesn't work either. I run it from the Wii's internal memory, and from the SD, with no luck. I'm using the official Nintendo component cable.

Thanks.

Just to be clear, you are talking about the NES version on Virtual Console (not the WiiWare remake). Right?

Yeah, he's in Europe. From what you're saying Kalonos the problem is likely that your TV won't display an interlaced signal over component video cables.

There's a workaround involving the pressing and holding of some buttons on the Remote and Nunchuk which may sort things for you:

"Wii Component Cable Interlace mode." This is a temporary fix to problems with various Virtual Console games being played over component cable on HDTVs. The mode can be enabled by accessing the operations guide of the game, and (with the Nunchuk attached) pressing the buttons Z + A + 2 simultaneously. A sound is played if the mode is enabled correctly. Several older games also have updates available to enable the feature, such as Super Castlevania IV. The mode can be disabled by using the same method, but with the button combination Z + A + 1 instead.

So try Z+A+2 and see if that changes things for you.

Thanks, that worked. I'm happy now.

Yes. It plays soooo slow... I think that this is going to be the last Virtual Console game that I buy that isn't a Hanabi Festival game.

I really think Europe SHOULD've been 60hz in the first place

And you're not the only one.
