Did you plug in the Wii sensor bar to the console?
Did you plug in the AC power to the wall or surge protector?
Did you plug in the AV cables to the TV?
Did you change your input to the correct setting on the TV?
That's really all the Wii needs.

The first thing that comes to my mind, if your screen stays black/gives no signal whatsoever, and provided that you're absolutely sure that everything is connected as it should, is that there could also be a problem with either the Wii itself, or there might be a broken wire inside the cable, making it impossible to send the signal to the screen.
On a side note: in general, I do recommend people who want to connect the Wii to an HD or UHD TV, to go with either component cables or an HDMI upscaler instead. The standard AV cables just don't cut it anymore, on modern day screens.
Far as I can tell, neither models have any standard AV connectors, so only composite, component and/or HDMI, so if you connected AV plugs into a component input, then that would already solve one riddle.
But either way, even if you haven't made that mistake, it would seem that the standard cables that came with the Wii can't even be connected to this screen, so you'll either need that component cable or HDMI upscaler, depending on which of the two versions you've got.

@ReaderRagfihs Used to work on certain older models TV, but nowadays, signals and/or inputs are more dedicated, to get the best picture quality. Mixing input/output streams generally isn't the best way to achieve that.
And AV isn't exactly the same as component. True component is what you had on the NES and other old consoles, so a single male plug. The red, white and yellow plugs are simply an equivalent of low grade SCART. But like I said to the OP in my original comment, I'd go with one of the other solutions either way, especially on a screen that size, standard picture quality is going to look horrible, with bleeding and shifting colors, and fuzzy image quality.
Buying either a component cable or an HDMI upscaler is going to remedy that problem for just a couple of bucks. I've gone component pretty early on, and I've never regretted it or gone back.

I have a similar TV, the slightly cheaper SKU but it has the same IO. That AV port is composite only so you can only use the "standard" Wii cables for connecting the Wii. Although I wouldn't suggest using that port at all if it can be avoided because it's very much an afterthought on modern TVs. The best option would be either to use a HDMI upscaler with Component cables or to find a Wii U.

@skywake My idea exactly, which is why I already recommended either component or HDMI upscaler in my original comment. A couple of weeks ago, I visited some acquaintances who were still using the standard cables on their HD TV. It looked absolutely awful to me: pale, washed out colors, and bleeding reds and what not. I don't even understand how people would NOT want to get the most out of the possible picture quality options available...
@Latinlover1 So.... did you get it to work, or what? In general, I like happy endings,
especially if it just so happened that I was able to be part of the solution...

@GyroZeppeli Well, he at least made ME wonder...
Do you happen to know him, or are you just guessing?
Perhaps he isn't aware of the most recent notifications he received.
Either way, I like to know if it all worked out or not, so here's hoping he'll notice eventually.
