Topic: Price Drop: Wii Music

@Djungelurban: Something tells me you don't have any idea what Wii Music is really about. JUST a guess, but I could be wrong.

Seen enough to know that I don't wanna defile my gaming collection with it. It's bad enough that I've got WiiPlay.

EDIT: And for the record... I intensely dislike Guitar Hero, Rockband, Rock Revolution, Guitar Freaks or anything like that too. Singstar is pretty ok conceptually, just wish it had like more than at the very most 5 worthwhile tracks per disc...

I was hyped up over the possibility of there being many Nintendo songs, and I didn't understand why a lot of the songs were public domain.

so it sounds like maybe I should pick this up then, eh? I saw it used somewhere for 15 or 20 bucks and thought, Hmm, I wonder if it was that bad after all. I was scared of it when I saw video of it, it seemed pretty shallow, but maybe I should give it a go. How does the drum set part with the balance board work? I have a Balance board and used to play drums so that seemed really interesting, but I'm still on the fence, what do you guys think? Yea, or nay?

@Ren: The drums are pretty challenging with the balance board basically because you need to coordinate button presses with movements, but the reward is more control over the drum kit. I did the first couple of lessons but put it down because it started getting to be too much for me!

That's what makes me think you don't know anything about the game. If you hate Guitar Hero and Rockband I have a feeling you'd really like Wii Music. Just what is it that you think is so bad about Wii Music?

By the way, I've come full circle from having started this thread. My curiosity finally won out, and I bought this from Amazon Sunday. Can't wait to give it a shot. Thanks for all the positive reviews that drove the purchase.
