Topic: Pong on VC

Is this a good idea or bad idea as I have never played the game?

Put it on the VC and let the people decide if they want it. Just make it cheap...like 2 dollars max.

I still have the original Pong console in the attic. Great little game. Don't know if I'll get it if they bring it to VC.

Just find a cheap copy of Wii Play instead. Best pong clone ever. I still play it on occasion, the original pong however, I could not. Woah, having said that, I'm reminded of that bit in Wall-e, and my heart melts.

Erm, yes, I'd download it, just out of nostalgic curiosity.

I wouldn´t get it even if they added online play and leaderboards. My pong need is fulfilled with Wii Play.

Pong is game created by analogue circuits, so you'd need to create a new one from scratch -- there's no computer code to emulate.

I think the hockey game in Wii Play does a good enough representation myself.

I'm not sure Pong is emulated on Gametap. I have played it on there. There must be someway to emualte it.

No, Pong can't be emulated. If it's on Gametap, that must be a computer port.
Also, it doesn't play very well without paddle controls either.

Ah, Wii Play Laser Hockey. Great game.
Got Platinum on all games long ago, but I know where to get my Pong fix.

Pong without paddle controls is not Pong.

Pong didn't have a CPU, so you can throw that idea out the window.

For those who homebrew, there are a bunch of Pong clones available; some are actually quite good.
