That could've been one post, you know. And the music is bad? Pshaw. Metroid has awesome music. I do agree it does need some more graphical polish, but it doesn't look BAD.
I'd go with Other M, simply because it's something new, as others have said, and I love Metroid. Plus, Sammy's better looking than ever

I'll have to go with Galaxy 2 because it will appeal more to my kids. Other M is the kind of thing I would play when the kids are asleep or when they're at summer camp, and I barely have time to play like that anymore. More and more, I'm preferring experiences that can be shared as a family, even if it's just the kids watching me or me watching one of them. If that weren't a factor, though, I would probably be looking forward to Other M more because it is different and looks more fun than a Prime game.

Well, I'd spring for Galaxy 2 because I never got a chance to play Galaxy 1 (or 1 Mario game on my Wii except the original SMB) but then again, Metroid looks to be a great summer blockbuster for Nintendo and I have to join in on the fun.
other m will control and play like no other game before. it fully uses every function of the stand-alone wiimote and includes nearly every possible camera angle, with the 2D angle constantly shifting to a more conventional 3D camera above samus, a first person view, and even the RE4 shoulder cam. i've never seen a game that has so much variety in the controls and gameplay, so it's very hard to picture what it'll feel like until you've held the controller yourself. if you're going to judge it by two videos alone, keep in mind you're leaving the radical new gameplay (what looks to be the core of the game) out of the equation.
i'm getting them both without any doubt. it doesn't matter if one ends up a little better than the other, they're both bound to be masterpieces.
I'm alittle more stoked for Super Mario Galaxy 2. Yet i can safely say Metroid Prime 3 was the most immersive and most engaging videogame I've ever played, the controls were godly. It was simply put amazing.....although the final Boss was total weaksauce, especially when compared to the first MP. That aside, I still want to get my hands on Galaxy 2 first....especially after the dissapointing(even though it's still a good game) New Super Mario Bros
This is a tough one. The original Galaxy was the first Mario game I enjoyed since Mario 64. I have played a lot of Metroid titles over the last 5 years and Other M is unlike any other Metroid. I am equally stoked but I will have to see the reviews on Other M before I can make a real decision here. I mean I got the basics of how Galaxy 2 will play for the most part but Other M is a whole new beast and from what I can tell it looks AWESOME
Honestly, for most people, this is going to come down to which series you like better: Mario or Metroid.
Anyway, if you couldn't figure out from my name, the answer for me is Galaxy 2. I wasn't really a big fan of the Prime games, and I've never played any other Metroids, but I do plan to try Super Metroid before Other M comes out, and that will factor into whether or not I get Other M. But Other M definetely looks interesting, but Galaxy 2 is definetely my most anticipated game of the year (unless Nintendo shows us something absolutely mind-blowing at E3, but I don't think anything will surpass Galaxy 2 in my mind).
I have to say Galaxy 2. I know from playing the original Super Mario Galaxy that I can expect some excellent platforming fun, but with Metroid: Other M I don't really know what to expect. The controls look a little confusing and I prefer to stick with a game that I can expect consistent platforming fun than one where I don't know what to expect at all. Either way, I'll be getting both, unless they get awful reviews.
