Topic: New Super Mario Bros Wii Collector's Edition?

I have heard rumors that there is going to be a collector's edition of New Super Mario Bros Wii that will have extra playable characters. I don't know if it is true or not, or who the extra playable characters will be, but it remains an interesting possibility. Does this seem like a smart move by Nintendo if it is true?

No. Why cant we just have one copy of the game with everything on it. Especially if its pre order only. I dont EVER preorder or intend to, I pay the same price at the end, why should I get less content?

The collector's would cost more, but it would definitely be worth it in my opinion. Sounds like a great idea. I hope it happens.

I don't think Nintendo would do that...and if they did, there'd be shortages of the Collectors Edition.

I thought collectors editions were more reserved for the serious business type of games, not the goofy kind.

I probably wouldn't buy this then, I have enough new games that I'm interested in.

Ok, we should all know that Nintendo does not throw in extra characters for their very few collector's edition games. Correct me if I am wrong please, but I really don't think they do. It is just extra little stuff. Maybe a snazzier box, some art stuff, etc.

@lz2009 No, for all versions. Basicaly what LinktotheFuture said as DLC.

Maybe with the new update with sd cards Nintendo can do DLC for their own games
