recently got my SNES out to play the original and ended up spending a good 7-8 hours over the next few days re-living the greatness that was NBA JAM. The gameplay is so fun and addicting (It feels soooo good to smash on Patrick Ewing). The music, sound effects, and annoucer calls are awesome as well. I have no doubt that the new one will be even better with updated rosters, updated graphics, new moves, and all the old element that were great about the original. Can't wait to hear: Welcome to NBA JAM... WII!
It's got a USK rating which means the game definitely exists and has been tested.
Who wants to bet it will on XBL and PSN for like £10 and have online?

Are you sure? I read that it might becoming out on PS3 and 360 but it hadn't been confirmed.
There was a rumor about it coming but many sites posted stories today that it just got rated for the PS3/360 in a "leak" from EA. Technically, everyone already knew it was coming so all that's left is for EA to officially announce it.
What the heck? This game is meant to be played on Nintendo consoles or Sega consoles (if it was still around) IMO. I hope EA doesn't screw this up. I know this is kind of off a little bit, but do any of y'all (that watched basketball back in the 90's) remember NBA on NBC theme song? The theme = awesomeness, I wish they would move back to NBC just so I could hear it lol. When I listen to it I feel like I should be watching a Chicago Bulls vs. Utah Jazz playoff game. Here it is for anybody who watched and remembers it:

On topic though, I'll most likely buy the WiiWare version. That's what I do when a game is released on both Xbox360 and Wii... unless there is a huge improvement.
I'm getting a good laugh at people upset over the fact that it's going multiplatform.
I'll only be upset if it is in fact an XBL/PSN game with online, because then they're just exploiting the userbase. Otherwise it's funny to see EA claiming it's exclusive when there's been evidence of a 360/PS3 version for ages.

What WiiWare, XBL, and PSN versions are you guys talking about? This is a full disc game.

Another possible chance for NBA Jam going to 360 and PS3. Although, if it were true, you'd think they'd have announced it by now, considering it comes out October 5th.
