July 20, 2009

Looking for a big name to bolster your downloading agenda this week? We've got two words for you: FINAL FANTASY®. The latest additions to the ever-growing WiiWare™ game library include the new FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES®: My Life as a Darklord™, plus a fast-paced poker title and a brain-teasing party game that everyone in the household can enjoy. Also this week, the Nintendo DSiWare™ service welcomes a slick new installment in the Art Style™ series, mixing extraordinary sounds and visuals to create a captivating puzzle game.

The goal is to find the greatest number of differences in the pictures shown. In the party modes, you must compete with other players and find as many mistakes as possible. In the 1-Player mode, you must find the differences before time runs out in order to beat the game's highest scores. How far do you think you can go?

No VC. Welcome to Europe.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

battle poker? It's been a LONG time since that game was annonced. I think it was supposed to be 500 pts. Without online or anything particularly special, 800 sounds pretty steep.

hmmmm....i'm happy for the Art Style game(ZENGAGE??uggghhh..) but the constant lack of SSB and Flipnote is growing rather irritating and rediculous. I guess SSB still has SOME hope though since the VC isn't listed but knowing NOA, i seriously doubt it.

"The latest additions to the ever-growing WiiWare™"
Does this mean that we'll get at least one WiiWare game every week?

Nope. Nintendo's press release has no virtual console game in it.

And I think the DSiWare games rename is really stupid. lol

You got Pulseman last week and Secret Command this week only you got this week's game a week early.

Garbage and I will not buy Wii points for this. I guess I need to write my angry letter to Nintendo

@BassX0: Nah I don't think so. They're both Import titles so they came out at the same time. There's no reason to suggest this was the game they were gonna choose to be released next week.

@LuigiandYoshiFan: I had hoped the same thing when I first found out.

@Tony: Actually, to be honest, I'm tempted to write a letter to Nintendo myself via email. Maybe one of us should.

You do have a point, but one could see it as Nintendo tricking us into thinking that we were part of the Hanabi Festival.

It's still good to see Final Fantasy and a new Art Style Game (even if it's not the one I wanted.)

This is only the second time since the Virtual Console service came to play that no Virtual Console games came out this week. The other happening was on May 12, 2008 when 6 WiiWare games came out to launch the service.

Nintendo of America could have released Altered Beast for VC Arcade.

And my first point will be why do we need about 800 poker games, but we can't get a single VC game this week. Nintendo refuses to make the VIrtual Console great (except in Japan where they are lavished with classic arcade games every week)

This just must be Nintendo's way of keeping things even. An increase in games one week means the next week must have a decrease in games. You are still getting one VC game every week even if this week it doesn't feel like it.
