ZTP is a fantastic game.
I would have added more side missions and secret areas, and harder enemies (or a way to unlock harder modes when you beat the game).

Why review a game that has already been out for three and a bit years?

Just a thought

Meh. The time it has been out didn`t stop me from reviewing it. Plus I have never played up until now.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, would you kindly?

At least not as tedious as Wind Waker sailing! Besides, there were only 3 times you had to gather the bugs and it sure didn't take long (weren't they even marked on the map!?) so it wasn't so bad. I do prefer Wind Waker though, despite the sometimes 10+ minute wait time to get somewhere. Gets much better after the ol' warp upgrade.

1. Ocarina of Time
2. A Link to the Past
3. Twilight Princess

I have yet to get or play Windwaker. But when I do, it might make it on the list.

Agree with that. It was fine the first playthrough, but the second time around... you really start to dislike the game because of them.

Anyway, I agree to pretty much all of the parts of your review, Chucko. The first time through was such a blast for me, but its one of those games you can really only play once. The cutscenes were really great, too. I gotta say, though, that I liked Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker quite a bit more than this one, mainly because there were more characters to talk with, the main quest felt a bit more epic in OoT, and there were just countless things to do in WW.

Wow, I whole-heartedly agree with most of your positives, and I can add a few more myself. I can't say I even noticed any of the negatives you mentioned, though. It was an okay review that got straight to the points most people would care about. It could've been more in-depth, but I think everyone's played it by now, so any more depth probably would've been frivilous at this point.

IMO, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is everything I could hope for in a Zelda game and so much more! I can't wait to see how they try to top it with the next one!

Okay, on my second playthrough, here were my only complaints:
1. The spin attack. Flailing the nunchuk around wildly was not fun, and sometimes I got hit about 7 times before the game finally registered what I was trying to do. On the flip side, the Wii Remote was a bit too sensitive. One of the end boss fights gave me a lot of trouble - trying to reflect the orb was difficult because every time I swung the remote, Link swung his sword twice.
2. The damn skull kid and his marionettes. The worst part of the entire game was trying to chase him with those annoying marionettes always on my back. And Nintendo made us do it twice.
3. The Goron Mines magnetic walls and ceiling. I know it's more realistic that Link would walk so slow with the iron boots on, but damn was it annoying trudging through this temple at a snail's pace.
4. Lack of double clawshot and spinner usage outside of the temples they were placed in. I know there were some spots where you could reach heart pieces utilizing these items, but in an already incredibly long game, I just don't want to be bothered looking for them.

And... that's about it! All minor/trivial stuff, really.
I didn't even mind the bug killing parts as the wolf, to be honest.
And I pretty much agree with OP's "likes", except I always felt Hyrule field was kind of small and restricted. Perhaps because it was segmented rather than one large field like in Ocarina or Majora's Mask.

Edit: 9/10

I love Zelda, it suits me down to the ground and Twillight Princess is the best version of Zelda I've ever played. Everything about the game is so nice, the story, the theme, the setting, the gameplay. I simply can't fault it. For me it's the definitive Zelda experience and if they manage to top it with the next one I will be amazed.

I agree with you about the usage of items OUTSIDE the temples. There was only one spinner track I found in hyrule field.(Could be more, though.) I think that`s what fans want in the new zelda game(along with other things) this year.

P.S Did you get your name from Stronghold? I love that game!

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, would you kindly?

I think I'm the only one here who agrees with this.

Actually, Kid_A does too. That makes three of us.

Hi, I'm #4 on this bandwagon. Twilight Princess is still brilliant, though. Just gotta love Wind Waker's graphical approach.

Fun fact: Bizarrely, Twilight Princess actually uses the graphical engine from Wind Waker (albeit very heavily modified). Wouldn't think it looking at them.

Methinks this to be true also.

Never played Stronghold.
My name comes from Faxanadu for the NES.

My friend came over today and wanted to start a new file slot for TP. As soon as I saw the opening scene with Rusl and Link, I thought to myself, "Wow, this scene seemed like such a long time ago." Referring to my comment in the OP, the length of this game is awesome.

Its better in my opinion because of the nintendo Wii remote, the graphics are way more polished because of its age

I have only played Twilight Princess and Link to the Past but loved them both and look forward to playing others but there are other games in front of the list. Okami, Metroid Prime trilogy, Endless Ocean Blue World basically

Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!

This game is pretty great, but I can't stand Midna. Her, and that deformed infantile creature from Link's village.
