That must really suck, now I should be worried, especially since my Wii is from April, 2007 (One of the older systems.) and I keep WiiConnect24 on. And unlike you, if that ever happends to me, I'll only have the DSi to turn to (And a PS3 if I get it if my Wii breaks.).
Glad to here it. My Wii has never had any problems (touch wood) and I must of had it 2 maybe 2 and half years now - but I remember when my game cube had stopped working (this was a few years ago) I was gutted. I had no warranty but when I sent to nintendo they did not charge me for the repair, It helped sway my decision to get a Wii - n Im glad I did .
