The worst thing that could have happened to my Wii happened this weekend. My wii will no longer read any discs. How sad I know. Now I'll have to send it to Nintendo to get it fixed all for $75. One problem I do not have $75 right now. Guess I'll just have to wait to finish Klonoa. BTW has this ever happened to anyone else?
Not to me, but I sympathize nonetheless. Do you at least have another machine to play games on? If not, I feel REALLY bad for you, because that would just plain SUCK!

Thankfuly I do have a PS2, PS1, GameCube, DS, and GBA games to play. I just hope I'll be able to get it fixed soon. So then I can play my 16 Wii Games.
Wonder what happened, since the same thing happened to mine...Though mine ended with a freaky loud scratchy like noise and I quickly turned the system and that's when it stopped reading discs. Ironically after all that noise and scratchy sounds, my game disc came out unharmed...lol.

Keep it PG-13-ish.

Well my Wii thankfuly did not make horrible noises like you described. Did you get your's fixed or did you replace it, and how long did you have your's before this happened. I happened to have mine for 2 years.
Yeah, my Wii was repaired by Nintendo, and I had my DS and computer to keep me entertained till it returned. And I believe it happened sometime last year in Fall. (I had it since launch too)

This must mean that some of the older systems are wearing out. At least the repair charge is not too much.
But if you sold it and maybe your PS1 to pay for your repairs, you could play all your games.
But the GC is mine! I won't part with it!
Can't blame you for keeping the Gamecube, but it's only really worth it if you have a Gameboy Player, if you use cheat discs, or if you use Homebrew. In other words, it's only beneficial to keep if you have a Gameboy Player. But I guess it's a good job you kept it whether you have one or not, since you can still play Gamecube games if your Wii breaks, like what happened to Gameking.
I'm confused...who's iSonic exactly? I don't remember seeing him around before, but it sounds like he lives with gameking23. Relatives or roomies? Sorry that I'm nosy, by the way.
