Ever had a moment when you are playing a game and work soooo hard, then FAIL? It sucks. I was playing Super Mario Galaxy and I was in the honeycomb galaxy collecting purple coins. I had 99 coins and i FELL off the edge and got sucked into the black whirly orb of death! I haven't played the game for a week.
Currently playing: Mario Tennis! Also playing, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and F-Zero X.
Every other stage on WET on hard. I swear I don't remember the last time a game frustrated me this badly. I actually haven't played Ikaruga in over a year--I made it to stage 4 without dying and almost made it through the level 4 crossing-curtain-fire part, then ran into the side of the ship randomly right before it faded into the background. I swore loudly enough that my downstairs neighbor came upstairs to see if I was ok. Haven't touched it since, despite it being one of my favorite games ever. Every time I look at it I'm consumed with that frustration.

I remember playing Metroid Prime and i was stuck at the end where you had to collect all the Chozo crap. I stopped playing it for three years or so until i finally had the guts and got off my lazy ass to complete it only to find out that i had to fight Ridley and the final boss "Metroid Prime". It was worth it, though.

In MP2 When you fight the spider gaurdian. I stopped playing for a week or so then went back and beat him and managed to get to the last boss and die. So i saved and played something else then i wanted to beat it. I went to play again... then I turned the Gamecube on and the game started and instantly the corrupted data message showed up. I stopped playing it then beat it on my cousins Memory Card then havent played seince MPT came out.
Diddy Kong Racing. Trying to beat the last boss race, it was stupid hard and you have to be in a Zen state of mind because taking an extra .01 second around a turn you'd lose. I literally threw my 64 controller and lost all respect for Rare as a company good gaming company. Devs that make games hard using cheap tactics isn't a good dev.

You are wrong! It's actually pretty easy when you fully utilize the turbo system, before that though, it did seem impossible. Don't blame Rare, it was you.
As for me I try to avoid tantrums. Though saying that I quite often smack the wii wheel against my head in MK. Helps me focus. 0.o
Little Kings Story. Theres a mission where you have to fight an alien spaceship inside your main town.
Totally not aware that it flies ( god knows why) i started the mission with knights, and got raped. During that process i also accidentally sent my knights into training houses to become useless peasants, costing me a lot of money. Oh, and did i mention i saved by accident?
Most of the time when this happens to me, it's usually my way of my brain telling me it's time to stop this game for now, whether it's just getting beat repeatedly in a boss fight, or having no clue how to solve a puzzle. The vast majority of the time, if i stop playing and come back to the game the next day, i'll end up getting through the part with much less (or sometimes no) difficulty. Particularly true of big action-game boss-fights (Bayonetta, i'm looking at you!).
I still haven't completed my play-through on Hard in Metroid Prime 2. I've gotten as far as the Emperor Ing's final form, but I always get killed. The main reason I bought Trilogy--other than the fact that I had to have it--is because I want to see if the Wii controls will facilitate things...
Also, trying to grab the purple coins for a few galaxies in Galaxy. The most egregious offenders being the Dreadnought Galaxy and Toy Time Galaxy...

It use to happen when I was a hot headed youngster all the time but then it disappeared. New Super Mario Bros Wii gets me to almost that point though. Most new games aren't very frustrating.
