Are you seriously asking which package has the better value!? That's insane! I'm not even going to bother explaining why - it's bloody obvious. Also don't bother buying them to collect - just play them. They'll never be worth as much as say Panzer Dragoon Saga or Radient Silvergun and they only go for about £100 each, not like you'll ever be able to retire and buy a yacht with it.
Metroid Prime Trilogy, no doubt. It's much better fan service than Mario All-Stars, it's got a much more "Collector's" look to it (complete with a slick hard game case) and unlike All-Stars, it actually updates its games (minus Corruption) with better visuals and a nifty new control scheme that completely changes the way you play the games. It's a crying shame that it's out of print already.

Corruption had some minor updates, lol. Noticed the music during the fights against those lizard things (forget the name) sounds more like the Defense Drone's, Bryyo's music is longer. (the added part goes somewhat quiet and sounds haunting) And the most noticeable change for me is that the seeds actually blow up this time.
I actually saw a copy of MP Trilogy at a Wal-Mart recently. I don't want to spend fifty bucks on three games I already own though. As for that Zelda Collection, I've got that. I can't remember the exact way you had to get it. Maybe it was to subscribe to Nintendo Power? All I know is I wanted it and they stopped the deal right before I was about to order Nintendo Power so I had to get a different gift. (Now they don't offer any gifts ) My mom called Nintendo up and they actually sent me a copy for free. That was awesome.
A funny side note. I remember one time I saw the Zelda Collection on sale at Best Buy for $100 even though it specifically says on the box "Not for resale." I have no idea how they got away with that or how they came up with the $100 price point.
I didn't buy Mario All-Stars because it lacks Widescreen-support. One game (Resident Evil Archives, one of the best games ever imo) is enough in switching the Wii from 16:9 to 4:3.
Metroid Prime Trilogy has two of the greatest games of the 2000's on it, so yes, i would recommend the Trilogy.
