I like collecting "collections" of games. These two have come to mind. Since both titles have a rich historical background and great games for each, which of these "collections" has the most gameplay value, extras and possible collector value? Any opinions?
Metroid prime trilogy has been discontinued... so I would think metroid prime trilogy would be worth more in colectors and I think it would have more content. can't really say much as I don't own either.
Metroid Prime Trilogy could be found on Ebay probably. I would go with Metroid as it offers more new content and has pointer controls for the GC Prime's you'll only find there, as opposed to the Mario collection which is the same as the VC games.
In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
Metroid Prime Trilogy: 2 Gamecube games and 1 Wii Game Super Mario Collection: 4 NES games
Whaddaya think is the better deal? Even though you'll probably have to spend 2X as Mario Collection, Trilogy is definitely worth it, the entire single player run could easily get you like 80 hours of gameplay, let alone the split-screen multiplayer. It also comes with an art booklet, and art collections on the actual game unlockable.
I hope you're not asking for a recommendation between the 2 because Trilogy has been off shelves for a while and now goes on ebay for heavily inflated prices. Unless you want the same thing to happen to you with All-Stars I would go try to find one ASAP because All-Stars is headed for the same fate. As far as which is better, I would have to go with Trilogy. Its just such a great value!

Aw, I wish I had that lol. I vaguely remember when they were giving them out. Wasn't it for a pre-order? Anyway, I have the Legend of Zelda OoT & Master Quest discs, but I'm sure you got more out of that one.
Unless you don't like the Prime games. I recently borrowed it... I am TRYING to play 2 and 3 but I keep getting lost, disinterested in it and it gives me headaches. I guess I don't like FP. I hope Nintendo doesn't make anymore FP games every again. If this was in 3rd person I could have been able to play it easier without getting sick.
Opps forgot the questions.
Gameplay value... idk Trilogy is longer but Mario's replay value is bigger then King Kong. Content goes to Trilogy and Collector''s value, Limited Addition.
From what I've heard, that Mario All-Stars thing was just a port of the SNES game. I have Trilogy and they at least made some improvements (mainly in the first one) within the games. That and Wii control on the first two.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Metroid Prime Trilogy as a whole is probably my favorite game of all time. Even though none of the Primes are my favorite game of all time, all three combined are the absolute best. Not one of the games disapoints. So definately go with the Prime Trilogy, its a 40+ hour game on a single play through of each game.
MPT. One of the best deals ever with some real effort put into it, unlike the Mario one...

All Stars all the way. Why? Because I hate the Prime games with a passion and it ruined any love I had for the Metroid series.

Metroid Prime Trilogy no contest. It wasn't made very long meaning compared to other games there just aren't very many out there. It's the best collection I've ever bought, and... it has a metal case!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ (I really liked the case) Totally worth it and I expect it's value to go up.
