MPT is the lowest-volume game I own. I have to crank the TV volume up to levels which would blow my ears out in any other game. What's up with that? I haven't changed the in-game volume settings. They are set to the default (maximum) volume. Anyone else noticed this?
Other than that, I'm having a lot of fun. I'm a Metroid newb. Never played any of these games before. Great deal for $50.
One piece of advice. No matter how hard one game gets, never cross over. Although you dont need a back-story for all of them. Play them from start to finish.

You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I think the default volume setting are at 75%. Change them to 100% in the main menu and it should sound like a normal level. At least that what I remember having to do in Prime 3. I haven't had the chance to play my copy of Trilogy yet unfortunately.
Future Wii purchases: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Metroid: Other M Zelda Wii New Super Mario Bros. Wii Sin and Punishment 2
That was the first thing I noticed upon playing the game. The sound is much lower than in the original MP for Gamecube. Other than that, the game is absolutely fantastic.
Mine sounds normal. Have you checked your connections? Maybe the cables aren't plugged in all the way? I actually have to turn my volume down when I'm playing the Wii vs. watching tv. The Wii is loud.
Definitely very quiet. I usually play my Wii on a volume setting of 21 or 22. Playing MPT I had to turn it up to 55 or 56. Enormous difference. And then if you switch to another game, more traditionally-mixed, its sound will blow your head clean off.
