Topic: Metroid: Other M NEW Trailer

I'm not one to spoil myself of stuff (like movies and games, I don't' want to know too much until the last minute), but I made an exception for this game. I watched the leaked trailer and I watched this video. The mood is there. This game, so far, seems like something that feels like Super Metroid all over again. Let just hope they have taken the game play as serious as the cinematography.

Actually, it's not a "leaked trailer", it's the actual beginning intro for the game, and it's AMAZING.

I won't post it here cause it will tempt people who don't want to spoil themselves, but if you Google for it, it won't be too hard to find.

It would count as a leak, since Nintendo did say no videos of the footage shown at the Summit should be taped, and the person who did it disregarded the rules anyway. I refused to look at it, because I was upset that the person would turn a deaf ear to Nintendo's rules. I'm waiting until June 27th.

Yes!! I'm really excited for this! I have always liked games that have an interesting storyline and from the looks of it this game will be revealing a lot of the mysteries about Samus.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories was 16 by Pegi and ended up being M.
There's no way Nintendo will make a flagship title M, though. That would be beyond stupid.

@SylverGIR: I said there's no way Nintendo would make any of their flagship titles (Mario, Zelda, Wii fit, Metroid) M-rated. It would be stupid on many levels.
Seeing Samus drop an F-bomb would be funny and akward though.

Yeah, I'd like to see some gameplay too. But the more I watch that trailer, the more I'm digging Samus' voice actress. Really looking forward to this game. :3

the music is making it pretty clear kenji yamamoto isn't doing the score this time.... i really hope i'm wrong. but at least the acting is sounding good.

About the trailer: I'm sad that it doesn't show any gameplay, but relieved that the voice acting in this one sounds better than in the one that was illegally uploaded a few days ago. I for one welcome the story and know that it won't hinder the gameplay that's standard to this franchise whatsoever. I think people seem to forget that Samus isn't a cold, unfeeling automaton; she's a human being and—though it doesn't come up much—she has thoughts, feelings and regrets like the rest of us. Those that are ignorant to that fact would benefit from reading the official Metroid manga sometime...

Yeah, I'm eager to see the more human side of her, haha.

Is Team Ninja/Nintendo attempting to get me hyped by showing me an FMV of a game that prides itself on gameplay instead of story? Just find that fact kind of odd, to be honest...

I can live with that voice acting. I've heard people call it terrible, and while it certainly isn't the best I don't think it'll detract to the overall experience.
