Also, MM 8 has never been on a platform supported by VC, and MM 9 and 10 are already on WiiWare, so why would you want them on VC?
MM X 3 might happen eventually, but the rest of the series again has never been released on a platform that is currently supported by VC.
6 and 7 are the only main series games missing next to Mega Man & Bass (which was never released here on the SNES) and X3 is the last X game that we can get on the VC. Unless we get Saturn support for the Wii-U VC, we won't be seeing 8 and X4 anytime soon.
I would throw my hat in the ring for wanting a SNES-style X9, though. I've been wanting that since MM9 came out.

They could easily release the japanese version of Mega Man and Bass on VC similar to what they did with Rondo of the Blood but I highly doubt that's going to happen since is Capcom after all.
Agree with you on Mega Man X9 16 bits style but I doubt is going to happen with Inafune leaving Capcom and the cancellation of MM Legends 3
