Haven't played through X yet and while i did finish Mega Man 10 i can't really remember it too well .
But 10 has challenge stages and achievements. If you really like these i'd say go for it.

For me, it's MM10, because it has an easy mode. I can't get far enough in the other Mega Man games outside of the Battle Network subseries to appreciate them.

Thats very understandable.

Mega Man X is one of the easiest Mega Man games, though.

No point in making a new topic for this: Which is better, Mega Man 9 or Mega Man 10?

I am not a MM2 fan, I love 3, & 9 best. 10 was pretty good, but I prefer out of 9, & 10 MM9 better . As for comparing MM Classic to X, particularly MM10 of (the) Classic series, to MMX of (the) X series, you could probably guess that since I don't hold 10 in high esteem, like I do 3, & 9, for example, that I feel, & am of the opinion that MMX is better than MM10, though if you have the (Nintendo) points, get both.

10 was better because it wasn't just Megaman 2 again (...or so I have heard)

Ya so you've heard, yet haven't played. So you've got no say in it.
And it's not another MM2, it just has the same spirit and feel which is a huge compliment considering MM2 is hailed the greatest in the franchise and for good reason. MM2 itself though has a few quirks....Climbing ladders is too slow, the controls themselves aren't as quick and zippity as the later instalments and a few of the boss battles are kind of sloppy and without any real pattern perse. Quick man comes to mind, which feels completely random and manic....And how in the hell are you supposed to dodge Air man's Tornado's half of the time? it's impossible without taking hits. lol

Everybody let this shniz slide back in the late 80's, because MM2 back in the day was such an amazing game and it knocked everybodies socks off and it completely destroyed it's original counter part. Yet If you never experienced MM2 when it was released back in it's hay day then you just can't fully appreciate it's awesomeness period. MM3 may have the advantage in control department regarding fast ladder climbing, quicker jumping and tight controls....But it lacks the heart, soul, magic and epicness that 2 had, let alone the soundtrack simply put practically paled in comparison. 2 is heralded the best in the franchise because of it's amazing soundtrack, the wonderfull imagnitive stages(Air, Bubble and Wood imo take the cake), fantastic bosses and because it has that happy up beat vibe about it. 5 kind of retained that feeling, but 9 officially brought it back.

Metal man and Air man's stages imo are the two downsides to MM2, i LOATHE those stages and Crash man's track especially. Wily's Fortress wasn't the greatest either aside from the memorable boss battles...Ahem* Giant scary green Dragon that magically appears out of nowhere that chases you while you're freaking out and jumping on tiny slippery floating platforms. lol that was a moment that scared and supised every Nes gamer at the time, believe me.

MM9's Wily Fortress however 'Stage-wise' completely rapes MM2's Fortress it's not even funny.
Overall though, If I were to take off the Nostalgia shades, I'd admit that MM9 has the slight edge over MM2.

yeah, cool story bro, those games aren't X and 10, go discuss it with the Zero 4 fan
