And he says that without even having played LW2 yet, so you know it must be good.

No, Clix. I say that after reading pretty much every review on the title written to date. Go back to sleep.

I suggest you wait until at least it's released before you praise such a highly acclaimed game. And, if it rocks, then hey - go nuts.

Ummm, Clix? I see what you're doing there? But ummmm... no. I'm not praising the game. I simply said I'd chose it over Nyxquest based on what I read. I mean, c'mon, I didn't even use big words in this thread.

I haven't played either, but when I watched the nyxquest trailer a couple things seemed like a blatant ripoff of LW and the game really didn't seem any better than LW (looked like a lot of holding right, rather than solving puzzles), so I decided to wait for LW2 instead.

I got Nyx and didn't like it that much so from the two I would go with LostWinds 2.

I was in a similar situation. i had 1000 points and had to decide between both games (without having played LW1).
I decided for LW2 and i do not regret it, it's a truly wonderful gaming experience =)

NyxQuest was a good snack to tide me over until LostWinds 2. An appetizer, even... it was delicious but not filling enough to be a main course, and it reminded me how much I'm looking forward to LW2. It's a perfectly good game, and very similar to LW in general, except that instead of exploring you just have to get from the left side of the screen to the right. If you like the LW formula, you'll probably still enjoy NyxQuest if you have extra points on a slow week...
