@Prosody: I do have mine pre-ordered as a matter of fact. Hey, I'll see what I can do about possibly getting a second one! I can't promise it for sure but I'll definitely try my best to get an extra one for you!

I let it lie for weeks between plays, but it's like coming home again. I'll probably take the rest of the year to complete at this rate, but I still greatly enjoy it. I think I just need to keep it in a stronger position in the rota. Problem is that I've been playing Disaster Day of Crisis and once I pick up an action game I find it hard to let other things intrude. Now I've got Tenchu and The Conduit on my plate (I expect to have the latter by Friday -- further delays notwithstanding) it may be awhile!

Question: what is the gameplay like? Is it similar to games like Harvest Moon or Rune Factory: Frontier?

It's more similar to Pikmin but you have people you send off to do things and you don't fling them through the air.

Lovely lovely game, do check it out.

I haven't played Pikmin either -- after reading other reviews online, I have reserved "Little Kings Story" at Gamestop in the states because they include a little Onii (?) stress doll and I like free things

Excellent decision, Ramandus! It's really a mix of strategy and adventure that sees you build up your kingdom to conquer the world. Great soundtrack, lovely design work and plays like a dream. Not long before you can enjoy it!

I have been listening to parts of the soundtrack today and it's made me want to dig this one out of my games pile. Maybe next week when my thousands of tasks have been reduced slightly...

I have this reserved. Anybody know why it released in Europe months before North America gets it? Not to complain as such...just wondering.

The game's director and producer Mr Kimura basically put it down to increased interest in Europe compared to other territories, but it also has a very European feel to it - most of the music is by European classical composers, and I get a very Scandinavian feel from some of the characters and locales. I'm not sure how it'll go down in the US but it deserves to do well everywhere!

Interesting... A quick poll of my coworkers last week showed that nobody really knew anything about the game, unfortunately. It's because they don't read Nintendo Power! I've been interested in this game since last year because of a nice long preview article they ran.

This is a common problem, actually. NPower covers games no other magazine does, but people don't read it, so they know nothing about the games. Then I invariably wind up being the only person to reserve them.

Japan is getting the game last for a change. I hope it does the business there; it deserves all the sales it can get!

God, I can't wait for this game to come out! I'm in the US, so the wait has been unbearable! Thankfully there is only two more weeks to go until the release date! Then I can finally see what Prosody has been going on about!

Yeah, some of mine and Machu's conversations here might make a bit more sense when you've got the game in your hands! You'll love it - have you pre-ordered to get one of those cute little Onii? I'd love one! HINT HINT

I'm thinking of pre-ordering it, but I couldn't really care less about keeping the toy.

Do you want it, Prosody? Do you just want to Wii Shop me something good in return? (I'll have to pay overseas postage to get it to you, obviously.)

@Machu: Yes, it is. I'm going to go pick my copy up tomorrow morning!

@Chicken Brutus: You can't Wii Shop something between regions, unfortunately. Cow Launch and WolfRamHeart found that out the hard way when a contest on the forums didn't turn out at planned a few months ago.

Another fantastic interview with Kimura. http://www.411mania.com/games/features/110970.

Whilst it's great news for NA, I'm a little upset you guys seem to be getting the better version (so that's why it was delayed there), Hell mode has been added, and the ending has been tweaked. Gutted!

Well, that's the risk of being first. I understand Tenchu: Shadow Assassins has controls that are improved over the Japanese version; there are other examples of Japanese games getting improvements when localised. I can live without Hell Mode myself; if the game was any harder I don't know if I could continue with it!

Yeah i know, it was far from easy as is, some of the bosses were a real test. But, I soo wanna see what happens to Poncho in Hell mode, I loved that lil fella, so much so I let him sleep in the castle every night. And the end did feel slightly abrupt, especially following such an epic final boss fight, can't wait to see the updated ending on youtube in a few days. Yay for NA.

Stuffgamer1

@Machu: Do you really have a choice with Poncho? He's been sleeping in my castle every night whether I want him to or not thus far (I'm umpteen days through right now, after three hours of gameplay). Anyway, it's a great game thus far indeed!

The risk of being first leaves us with the flawed version of Lit, and that's a more fundamental problem than with Little King's Story from the sound of it.

@Stuffgamer1: Yeah I was joking he's there whether you like it or not, don'tcha just love him. I got rid of all the cow pictures, except for the one by him.
