Anyone played and remember Lemmings for the NES, SNES, and Genesis? I like the SNES version the better than the new PC versions released in the past few years as the 16 bit console versions had more catchy and memorable music. I really hope the SNES version will be released on VC at some point.
I never played Lemmings in my life. [ - everyone stares in disbelief]. I never even played the PSP version of it. Would the SNES version be suitable for me, or on the VC?
Given that the game's been released on practically every early '90s console, we're bound to see at least one of them someday. Either that, or a Wiiware sequel/remake. I've always wanted to play Lemmings, so I could go either way.
I have a bad feeling that Sony own the right to Lemmings. The original game was developed by Psygnosis, who I now believe is part of Sony. I really hope I'm wrong, though - I love Lemmings and it'd be perfect on both the Wii and the DS.
Actually, the game was developed by DMA Designs (now known as Rockstar North and most famous for developing the GTA series) and Psygnosis published it. As to who owns the rights, I couldn't say for certain but I would imagine that Psygnosis (and subsequently Sony upon their purchase of the company) would retain the rights.

Unfortunately Sony does own the rights to lemmings these days & i got the proof on the back of my PS2 Lemmings in the copyright section so Lemmings on Virtual Console would only be a far fetched miracle .
Yep - Sony have the game and it would obviously work so much better on a PSP than DS. Not. Its a blooming shame as would be great for both ninty systems and I cant play it on my game gear as both the speaker and screen are knackered.
