Topic: Klonoa or NPC Donkey Kong Jungle Beat

I would love to get Super Mario Galaxy but I fear my skills are not up to snuff and I would get too annoyed. So instead I'm trying to decide between Klonoa and NPC Donkey Kong. Any thoughts?

Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat is probably harder than Super Mario Galaxy--both are great games, but I consider Super Mario Galaxy the greatest platformer of all time. I'd get that if I were you. The challenge really isn't that severe.

Thanks for the reply. From some of the comments regarding Super Mario Galaxy that I've seen I assumed it was really hard. Also, NPC Donkey Kong says it's for up to 4 players? With the 4 players, is it cooperative play?

You must've misread that. It's only one player. Super Mario Galaxy has two-player Co-op, though.
(and as a side note, most people's main complaint with Galaxy is that it's too easy...so that might give you some perspective)

Klonoa's pretty easy, too, but I think you should try it out. I will warn you, however, that the game is very short. It can be completed in under 4 hours. There are bonus challenges and stuff to keep you coming back if you're interested. I say check out Klonoa.

Like Kid_A said, Galaxy isn't that bad. It's pretty easy to beat the main storyline, however; the real challenge is trying to collect all 121 or 242 stars. That's completely optional. And the co-op is a little different than you might be expecting. Player 1 controlls Mario while Player 2 controls the star pointer on-screen. Player 2 can freeze enemies, shoot enemies with Star Bits, and even stop some attack from enemies and bosses. Having a second player makes the game that much easier.

Galaxy is pretty good. I have been debating myself as to whether I should pick up Klonoa also. Galaxy is not to bad in difficulty though and its got some of the best level designs I have seen in my 27 years on Earth.

Super Mario Galaxy is hardly very hard but that's just me.

As for length, it depends on how much time you put into it. Definitely over 10 hours of gameplay.

If you go for 100% it could take you up to 80 hours. At least that's how long it took ME

Not only is it the better game by far, the series has always been fairly easy, so you shouldn't have any problems playing it.

I wouldn't put any game on the Wii above Super Mario Galaxy. It's what I consider the best game available for the system. But Klonoa is definitely above NPC Donkey Kong.

Super Mario Galaxy isn't really hard. The games difficulty progression is spot on. Its one of the very best gaming experinces of all time.

Anyway, if not Galaxy, definately NPC DKJB, BUT Klonoa is brilliant as well. Klonoa is marginally hardest of the three mentioned.

Klonoa, it's an awesome game and it's the one that really needs sales.
