Thanks for the heads up! My "magic number" for Wii games is $20 and under... since they all seem to drop to that price before long and I've already got a notable backlog. I'll add Klonoa to the list, and pick it up next time I've got spare cash.
Back in October or November, Frys Electronics had that game for less than $9. I was thinking of getting it, but didn't. Then I went back during December, and they bumped up the price to $20 or $30.
Somebody set up us the bomb. Wii: 8703 7486 8875 3789 I love PWN3NG NintendoLife members on Tatsunoko :-)
Anyone who loves platformers and classic gaming should get this game really! Mind Klonoa falls into the Kirby and Starfy group of being easy as pie but so goshdarn adorable that you stay for the cuteness and story.
The remake had a lotta love put into it (though some fans may dispute certain changes and the newer FMV scenes) and it's got a reverse mode after it ends with additional harder areas. Sort of a shame the Wii version bombed really : ( (I would of liked a wiimake of Klonoa 2 which is even better)

The original Klonoa is my favorite game of all time. I didn't find the Wii version as satisfying, as they removed what little challenge the original had and replaced the FMV scenes which added a ton of emotion to the story. However, for $20 this game really does deserve to be played. It is and will always remain a brilliant platformer.

I was also hoping for a Wii version of Klonoa 2. I guess I could always buy the PS2 version, but it'd be nice to have it on the Wii. =)
@Axelay Unfortunately, I never got a chance to play through Klonoa on it's first release, so this is my first time playing it. But I felt the story's emotional impact on the Wii version as well. I have looked up the FMV's on Youtube, however, and I can see where the FMV's look better with all of the flowers being blown by the wind and better facial animation which would provide a better sense of immersion for the player, but I think I'm just used to the visual effects that the Wii version provided.
I did think some of the dialogue was better in the PS1 version, though. And I wished they would've given Klonoa more lines rather than let Hewpoe be his mouthpiece, but still it's a great game. One of my favorites. =)
even at $27.99 it was a steal, don't let the kiddie graphics fool you.
Yeah, it can be pretty dark and, near the end, sad. A character even dies! Mario this is not.

I got mine for free as I had a gift card at Toys R Us. It's a very good game, love it and I am glad I got it.
On a side note, has anyone noticed that when you play Klonoa and get out of the game it doesn't show up in the stats? Also there is no entry of it at all in the Nintendo Channel and it's a fairly new release. I do use the GC controller with the game and I don't think that has anything to do with it as I have used GC controller on other Wii games before.
