maybe the (Return) thing is getting a bit overused.
Then again what about Kirby's Epic Yarn and Epic Mickey?
I'm getting tired of seeing that word used everywhere too.
I just think Kirby Returns to Dream land is a bit longer of a title than it needs to be.

Yeah. Epic is pandemic for sure.
And why would he return to Dream Land anyway. Because he wants to ? Because there now is an epic story in a Kirby game ... ?

Kirby' games have a story, but most of it is in the manual.

Okay that would make sense.
And i didn't mean that Kirby games have zero story. It's just that i'm not impressed by it and don't really see Kirby as a character with his own goals or motivations. Especially not since so far i've watched every episode on the Kirby TV channel.

@Bass, if it had something to do with Nightmare or the Fountain of Dreams then I would have said that was a better name but I don't think it involves him or the fountain (as of yet). Might as well just call it Super Star Returns, since it shares a lot more to that game.

@LTD, Kirby himself doesn't have big goals besides helping out others and food. The villains themselves do though.

Dark Matter kept coming back in each Dreamland Game and every time they had to keep making the shield around Pop Star stronger (the rings around the planet). Dark Matter wanted to take over Pop Star because he saw how friendly and nice everyone is. People fear Dark Matter, he lives alone without friends. In Dreamland 3 when he is defeated his eye rips out and the Pop Star got an extra ring around their planet. In Kirby 64 he comes back in an angel form. You see a bandage where his eye ripped out in Dreamland 2. Also before you fight him, he has a smiley face. He thought Kirby came to be his friend, when he saw he had the Crystal Gun in his hand (the weapon that can defeat him). His face turned back into the single eye before Kirby turned around. Kinda like, OH KIRBY A FR... oh... puts on fake face.

In Kirby Superstar, Revenge of Metaknight, He saw King Dedede was a lousy King (from what happened in Kirby's Adventure)/ He used to be very loyal to him, and in all honestly all of Dreamland was slack because of him. He was going to take over Dreamland and basically he became a dictator. If Dedede wasn't going to rule right, he might as well. Besides he is a self proclaimed King (Dedede).

Yeah I'm a big Kirby fan.

@Kaiser: Wow! I didn't know Kirby had such a storyline on it! Maybe you can answer this question for me. At the end of Kirby 64 when the dark matter is defeated and flies away, you may have noticed that right before the credits roll, the tall fairy with the black hair and glasses turn to look at the tiny fairy that traveled with you and kind of has a devious glare in her eyes like she had turned evil or been evil the whole time. Has any kirby game you know of continued this? Like what happens after the dark matter left. Perhaps this fairy is the main villain? I finished that game when I was like 10 and have always wondered about this

@Kaiser: Ah! Of course! That wasn't the "true" ending after all. I just might have to go back and get every crystal just to see that. Thanks!

It should be pointed out that for years thanks to a supposedly semi-official response to fan questions, the popular theory was that Nightmare had some how started to possess Metaknight. But that was proven to be highly unlikely and the entire problem of Metaknight randomly being really evil in Revenge was just a really bad translation.

There's something up with his eyes though. They seem to glow when he has, not so good intentions. I think that's where that came from (the theory). Metaknight was always tough on everyone though. He believes in being fit, top, and efficient. Seeing everyone, especially Kirby lazying around, eating, and sleeping must grind his gears. I know he wants to help Kirby become more like him, in his eyes he has the most potential out of everyone in Dreamland. Though on Revenge of Metaknight, Kirby was just in his way.

Edit: I think it just might be the mask that changes his eye color. Without his mask his eyes are white. In Brawl when you absorb Metaknight Kirby's eyes turn from blue to green.
