I agree, Fixjuxa, Kirby was fun as a kid, but I tried playing Super Star a year ago, the best of the bunch, and I could not have been more bored. This looks more interesting, and even if not, it'll be a pleasure to walk through the levels simply for the sake of taking in the sights. Additionally, co-op makes virtually anything fun, especially if you can mess with each other, so it'll be a good back up game if playing with young ones who aren't up to snuff for NSMBW.
I don't know what to tell you man. Admittedly, my experience is pretty limited. I'm talking the NES original and Squeak Squad on the DS. But I see someone posted right after me admitting to having similiar thoughts regarding Super Star which I always heard was the best so...yeah, I guess traditional Kirby just isn't for me. Most of all I thought both games I played were completely devoid of any and all challenge.
My favorite Kirby game is still the first Dream Land for the Game Boy, and while you could inhale enemies there, you were not able to take on their abilities. I agree that it seems a little bit strange to drop the inhaling completely, though, particularly given how great that could have looked with the yarn. Imagine the enemies drawn into a little visible ball inside Kirby, then expelled at another foe.

Hard mode?! Geez, I only had Dreamland 2, which I really enjoyed at the time for the cute mounts. Wish I'd known about that.
I have to wonder, too, why they got rid of sucking in enemies, but as odd a decision as it is, it doesn't seem bad, at least for gaining power-ups. I liked being able to suck in and spit out stuff at bosses though.
Also, great find, Swiket. I wonder if that was inspiration for the new game or just a strange coincidence.
Nice avatar, Who Knew. Is that character new or from an old game? I had been hoping player two could play as Metaknight, but oh well, haha. I hope we see Metaknight, Dedede, and a few of the classic bosses. I normally like everything brand new and complain about reusing so many characters and bosses (get over it, Metroid, how many times can Ridley die?), but gosh darn it, I want to see them all in yarn.
Its the second player character in Epic Yarn. I think hes new. (if hes from an older game, then forgive me lol) This will be my first Kirby purchase, so I'm not to familiar with the Kirby universe. Im also hoping to see Yarn Meta and Dedede in Epic Yarn, too.
Nintendo.com just got an updated trailer of Kirby's Epic Yarn! It's almost exactly like the E3 trailer, but now has an updated HUD (I believe it counts the sequin that Kirby collects) and runs with more frames per second. Click the link to watch:
