It's been revealed that the best selling game 3rd Party Game on Wii, is Just Dance 2. Selling over 14 Million Copies alone. (Not counting the 1st One) No wonder there making a 3rd One. So what do you think about this?

Also it is revealed that Sega's: Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Game Series has sold over 19 Million Copies, on the Summer 2008, and the Winter 2010.

And yes Just Dance 2 sold 14 million. And meanwhile, Little King's Story sold so poorly Cing filed for bankruptcy.

I agree, its sad to see games like this do so well and wonderful games like Little King's story fail so badly and there are many other third party wii games more deserving of this title like the No more heroes series and Zack and wiki.

But let's keep this in perspective. ... This is not endemic to Wii. It's like Justin Bieber outselling Radiohead, or Toy Story 3 grossing a quarter of a million dollars more than Inception. Teenage girls are a lucrative market.

I'm not surprised. Just Dance is a fun pick up and play game. There aren't any complicated control schemes, and the variety of music appeals to a lot of different people.

Agree. I borrowed a copy from the library last week, pretty much for my 8 year old to play. We, er...danced (spasmed, flailed about, looked like freaks, etc.) and actually found it pretty fun. It isn't a terrible game, and I suspect it would be a far more effective physical fitness tool than Wii Fit based on how freaking sweaty I was after playing just a few songs.

Would I buy it? Almost certainly not. I'm more of a Little King's Story, Muramasa, Sky Crawlers, Madworld kind of guy, and would not trade any of those for Just Dance 2. I can see, however, how many people that are casual gamers (not like the majority of NL forum types) would rather have Just Dance than all of those put together, even if I threw in my copy of Bully.

I would never, ever allow my friends to see me playing Just Dance, BTW.

I bet most of those sales come from parents or other family members looking for a "clean" game for their children/nieces/nephews/grandchildren at the last minute.
