@BenAV: Yeah there's the Wii U too. I really hope that they're just saving a bunch of games for the Wii U VC (if the Wii U VC happens, which it probably will).

Well I'm sure they're going to have at least something. And I'd imagine all of the Wii Virtual Console and WiiWare games will be transfered over to the Wii U's shop considering you'd think that you can transfer the games from your Wii to your Wii U. I'm picturing that it'll work a lot like with the DSiWare games being transfered to the 3DS and appearing in the eShop. And on that note, the eShop seems to have given the DSiWare titles a new birth so the same could possibly happen with WiiWare/Virtual Console games... especially if it has some sort of rating system like the 3DS eShop so people can actually see which games are worth downloading. For the near future the Wii Shop Channel will probably remain fairly quiet, but anything could happen after the Wii U is released. Only time will tell.
Wii Shop's not dead but it's getting there. Europe hasn't gotten a Wii VC game in over two months (I'm really hoping that this is just a bad VC summer drought but I don't think it is unfortunately). As for NA, we've been on the same pattern for months now but after Adventure Island II and The Ignition Factor release, I don't think we'll be seeing any new games for a while. Japan still gets new games, but not that many. It's a shame to see the Wii VC in this state because there's still a few games left that I'd like to see. If things get worse the only legal options left are sites like Ebay or see if I can find any places that sell retro games in my area (I've done a good job of avoiding those two other than that time I bought Super Mario RPG from a retro game store).
As for Wiiware, not as sad because it never was all that great other than a few games.
Don't forget Lufia Plus I just read that Secret of Evermore, and Super Mario World 2:Yoshi's Island were rated by the ESRB on the forums at IGN |D I must apologize about the lack of a link......stupid wii browser
