As for your question, there are a number of good tennis games for Wii, the best serious game probably being Grand Slam Tennis. It features motion controls and optional compatibility with Wii Motion Plus as well as a robust character creator and campaign. Critics believe it to be notably superior to Top Spin 4.
On the Wii Virtual Console, you can find Mario Tennis for N64, Tennis for NES, and many more for cheap prices. My recommendation would be Mario Tennis, though there are no motion controls obviously.
