In case anyone was wondering who lz is talking about, it's me.

Sorry, lz, I'd rather play pretty much every Metroid game in existence than Twilight Princess. It's just boring to me.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Not really. I've had way more fun playing Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker.

Yep, Love it! I think it's the best Zelda ever also. Even better than Ocarina though it's a pretty close tie actually. I don't understand why so many people find fault with it. What's not to like? It's got everything a Zelda fan could ever want!

Twilight Princess was an awesome release game, but I haven't been back to visit it since my original play-through. It's not bad...I just have other games that are "better".

Yes. Grinding dungeon after dungeon after dungeon until you reach the end of the game is soooo much fun.
Okay, it was a good game. The spinner and double clawshot were both fun as hell.
But it's so linear that I just can't bear playing through it a second time. The first time I played it on a 25" CRT. Now I have a 32" LCD and that's still not enough motivation for me to play it again.

Ocarina revolutionized the series by bringing it into 3D. Though it was basically a remake of A Link to the Past, it was a wonderfully made game in its own right. The dungeons are intriguing and there's enough sidequests to keep the game from getting stale. Biggoron sword, hear pieces, skulltullas, archery (slingshot and bow), treasure chest game, bombchu game, the well, Epona, blah blah blah. You get to meet characters once and then again when they (and you) are 7 years older.
Strong story, strong character development, strong replay value, and enough variety that you will play it again and again.
And of course, you can go through the dungeons completely out of order just for the hell of it.
That was meant to be a short statement and not a brief review, but whatever.

Majora's Mask took Ocarina of Time and ramped up the fun level. Mask collecting was great and nothing made you feel more badass than rolling around as a goron crushing everything in your path, or going back to annihilate all of the game's bosses with the Fierce Deity Mask.
And of course a non-standard plot was pretty awesome too.

Windwaker - sail around the brilliant cel-shaded world. Play hide and go seek with the kids! This game had a very definitive charm to it that was certainly welcome.

Twilight Princess - You go from dungeon to dungeon killing baddies. Midna was awesome, and some of the new items were welcome additions. Though the Rod of Divinity or whatever it was called was only used in the one temple, which goes completely against the grain of the Legend of Zelda series. Dungeon items should be able to be used outside of the dungeon, to give you a reason to go into the dungeon to begin with. A dungeon that's there simply for the purpose of being beaten leaves you feeling disappointed. Yay I get one more heart! And... no cool items to show for it.
But the music was good, the graphics were polished, and the game set up a nice, dark atmosphere to get immersed in.
The Wii motion controls were okay but clearly added as an afterthought.

Enough non-sensical ramblings. I like Twilight Princess. I just like it less than every other Zelda game I've played (aside from Zelda II, which I only don't like because I can't beat it).

Like 10-12 hours in and I had to quit.

One of the most boring games I've ever played.

If it didn't look cool on my shelf I would have thrown it away.

Now, I think the GameCube case is way cooler than the Wii case.

It's a great game Kizzi - thank fully some of us can get over our selves and enjoy good gaming!

I am actually playing Windwaker right now - and loving that as well - ya know what? Cel Shaded Zelda is wasted on the DS - bring it back to console in all its glory, one of the most visaully appealing games of all time!

Pixelman - which company do you work for again - I forgot....

IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?

Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant.

It was a very nice game, but it starts off incredibly slow with tedious collect-o-quests. If it hadn't been the only game I owned at launch, then I probably wouldn't have made it through the first 10 hours. Glad I did though.

You use the divinity rod all around Hyrule to get hidden heart pieces... and bugs too I think.

@mrmicawber - hey I'm playing Wind Waker too. What part are you at? I'm playing and watching a VLP of it.

Now Playing: Bioshock

Twilight Princes is a nice game (loved Midna best character ever ), but I must say it's the easiest, most linear Zelda ever, still, I had some fun playing through it.

Twilight Princess is awesome. I always anticipate becoming a wolf for some reason LOL.

Good game but unlike OoT and Wind Waker, it didn't have enough replay value.

Me three. Well, I'd take Twilight Princess over Corruption, and it was about as good as Prime 2, just not quite. Both were way too drab of atmosphere.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

Machu

I loved it very much, it's a Zelda game, and a massive one, so it's impossible for me not to like it. I'm the kind of dork who will spend hours just riding around, looking cool. Like this...

If I can't get MPT to work on my stupid Wii, I know what I'll be playing instead. Machu needs a quest of some sort and Okami just aint doin' it for me, I think I sub-consciously dislike it as I know it's a PS2 game. Fanboy ftw!

Where are these nonlinear zelda games ppl here kepp talking about?

What a bunch of CRAP!

And the difficulty?

No less disfficult than any 3-d Zelda or the SNES game - go to NES if you want a challenge, but I do not believe you do anyway!

The play sirs, is over!
