Topic: I can't find Mario all stars Wii anywhere.

I've looked all over hell and back but no one has this game in stock. It's only been out a little over two weeks. How limited is this exactly? I'm about to give up. Do you think I could order it directly from Nintendo's website?

And you won't. At least not in the U.S. apparently. There are a couple of sellers on Amazon, but unless you want to pay $50+ I wouldn't recommend it.

Nintendo just links to select sellers, I believe. People are inflating the price online at the moment but that should drop a bit after the holidays.

Why should it drop? The game won't be available in stores anymore by that time. That would give them more reason to jack it up more.

The All-Stars set is extremely limited. I believe I read somewhere that there would only be one production run of it. If you've looked at all of your local shops and can't find it, your best bet may be to look at sites like amazon or ebay if you really want the set. Keep in mind though that you may have to pay above the retail price to get it (Amazon is currently listing it for $52.99). Good luck!

There were tons of copies in TRU when my girlfriend went to get me a copy last week. Might have changed by now.

I don't mean to sound cruel but I'm quite happy they're sold out in many places never to be re-stocked. That just makes my 2 copies that much rarer. Sorry to those who didn't jump on it when they had the chance....

Yeah like a copy of Mario all stars Wii is going to make anyone rich several years from now.
Maybe everyone should buy 20 copies and never take them out of the box. That way someone who actually wants to use them for something other than a paperweight won't be able to find one. Makes sense to me.

I doubt you are going to find it at the regular market price now. I have seen a few places like Target and Best Buy advertise them in their sales paper but I dont know if they have any copies left, so you might want to call them.

I dont think you can order it right from Nintendo they will just send you to Amazon or some other stores website.

The only other thing I can suggest is wait a few months and you might be able to find one used at Gamestop or a similar store. I remember a many years ago when they had the Legend of Zelda collectors disc for the Gamecube, (the one with The Legend of Zelda, Zelda 2, OoT, and Majoras Mask) I looked everywhere for that game but couldnt find it after giving up though a few months later I found it at a Gamestop for a reasonable price. I still see a copy or two pop up every so often when I do go into a Gamestop. I am sure the same thing will happen with the Mario Collection.

Nintendo does not sell games directly

My Gamestop was rude to my friend who wanted one. Said "Sorry this was a one time deal, you should have pre-ordered, if you want another Anniversary game wait another 25 years".

I don't think its gonna make me rich. Quite the contrary as I do not plan to sell either copy. One is for me to open and enjoy and the other is to stay sealed in my collection as a display piece. Plus, if someone doesn't have a copy then its probably their own fault because if you wanted one, you could quite easily go get one on launch day. Its not my fault people choose to drag their feet and then miss out.

amazon for an extra 20 bucks seems reasonable at this point if you really want it, and lots of people are selling it on ebay and it seems like you could get it for 40 or even less. The same person is selling several copies and none of the bids are much more than 40.
I'm not sure how much I would pay for this game. I considered it a great deal at 30 bucks. And I would still pay 50 or 60 probably as if it were a normal game, but I wouldn't go much further than that, even though it is a nice collector's item. I definitely don't think people planning to sell this game in 10 or 15 years will be very successful. It is just a very simple port of an snes game after all, and the wii itself will be history.

I actually saw one copy at one of the Wal-Marts in my area, but I didn't have the cash on me to buy it. It's probably gone by now anyway.

I use the stuff in my collection, I knocked off that OCD I had about things being perfect. Nothing is ever going to be perfect and once I die it wont matter if I had stuff mint or not. All that matters if I have the Collection at all. When I am old I can tell my kids, guys this is from 2010, only a few of these where sold... ect.

Here in North Texas I see them quite a bit still. When I got mine last week at Target they had several copies. At that time all my local Gamestops had them too, at least according to their website.

you might want to try checking GameStop's website, they'll list which stores in your area have copies, and you can call those stores directly. they should be at the point where they're selling preorders that no one picked up yet, and if they say they're not, i'd try reminding them of their company policy -- they're only supposed to hold those preorders for like two or three days after the game hits.

that said, i just checked Amazon... sorry Link79, but dang, i'm glad i ordered my copy when I did. no way i'd pay more than retail for it

@bboy2790: come on, now, there's no need for 'well you should've gotten it at launch if you wanted it so bad' -- i know I straight-up didn't have the money for it until the payday after it hit, and by then there were no copies left in town... believe me, i checked everywhere. not everyone is as privileged to have the money for everything they want as soon as it comes out; if you are so blessed, good for you. :/

Things are a bit different here in Manitoba. Still easy to find in stores.
