Ah, I'm too caught up in poker to play this game as much as I'd like. I did play some last night though, and just got the space jump boots. Damn the black booster-ball morph ball looks badass.

Hm, I think I've beaten my previous record in MP1. I've got the power bomb and the grapple, and so far each has led me into areas I've definitely never been. The odd thing is, the Phazon Mines didn't put up much of a fight this time. It's amazing how much help it is when you're not fighting against the controller the whole time. This is just lovely.
I guess I'm going to finally beat this silly game once and for all. I wonder how the challenge of MP2 will hold up.
I think he'll give up before getting to sky sanctuary.

I actually thought the original controls were pretty awesome, you just had to put in more effort. I remember jumping and aiming midair to grapple onto stuff which I always thought was awesome:) The first Metroid Prime was my favorite by the way...
I agree about the controls entirely. I was able to pull of a double jump whilst doing a 180, and shooting a charged missile shot at whatever was behind me, before hitting the ground. Tough at first, natural with practice. Even easier I imagine with IR goodness, but it was all still possible with the GC pad.
@Outrunner: I knew someone would ask. No, I opened her up and went crazy with a can of air and a lint cloth. The lens looks clean, in fact it all looked good as new in there, apart from the bit of metal I crudely bent when getting rid of 'the noise', ha. But it's ok, I'm surprisingly calm about it tbh, I have the game, it's mine and it aint going no-where. A friend offered to swap Wii's for a week so he could try some of my WW whilst I got my Prime fix but I said no. Too busy with Endless Ocean now which I've re-discovered thanks to the Pro'. Found the sunken graveyard today it was amazing!!
But back on topic, I'll call Ninty on Monday, but don't know if I should send it in having been inside myself, don't know. I hope they announce the black Wii going worldwide at TGS, so I can buy that instead of another white one. We shall see. Glad you're enjoying dude, save the odd token for me, and feel free to spam me with your finest screenshots.
I was actually able to play a little bit today. I got the plasma beam along with the odd missile tank here and there, and am now in phazon mines level 3. I believe I am nearing the Omega Pirate.

@Machu: Black Wii sounds sweet! I'll spam you with screenshots as soon as I work out how to unlock the screenshot takin thing. So far all I've unlocked are concept art and music tracks... On topic: I've got about half the artifacts now and can't wait to get to that boss.
