Topic: How do you organize your Wii menu?

I made this topic about the 3DS menu, so the same question applies to the Wii menu.

I keep the built-in apps on the home screen, and all my downloaded games and apps are on the SD card. I have everything organized by name, going from left to right on each "page." My VC games and WiiWare games are all bunched together.

O.K.

Well, I organize the channels on developers and from developer into a chronological order (release date)... I currently keep all games by Nintendo on the Wii. All third-party releases on the SD.

I have all my VC and Wiiware games on an SD card.
For some reason I prefer putting them in chronological order. I just like them to be in the order by what year the games were made. It's kinda like my own personal museum of my favorite games.

The Wii's internal memory is very small. How do you fit all those 1st-party games on the Wii?

Haha, no I don't have all the 1st-party games released on the Wii, on my Wii. But all the ones I have are sitting there on the Wii. About 2 and a half pages if I remember correctly.

Pretty much in the order they came - although I did hide away My Pokemon Ranch on the second menu screen out of embarrassment!

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

I need to buy a second SD Card because the 20 pages are bursting with games.
It all is clogged up and there's not even room to swap em around.
More than 100 WW games, about 20 different channels, 80 VC games and 30-40 demos.
I wish there were 40+ pages, because I still have enough blocks left on my 4GB SD Card.
I think I'm going to use one SD Card for WW and the other for VC.

Not having any blocks left on the Wii internal memory. All used up for save data of my 136 Wii games, 101 WW games and 80 VC games.

The SD card menu doesn't expand like the 3DS menu? So all those extra blocks go to waste? I have an 8GB card in my Wii, and I noticed the same number of "pages" as my old 4GB card.

I went through the trouble of rearranging the SD Card menu on my Wii. I now have everything organized alphabetically by system/format.

  • Extra Wii Channels
  • VC Games
    • NES
      Super NES
      Sega Genesis
  • WiiWare

Going left to right, top to bottom, with all of the libraries for each system ordered alphabetically: Netflix --> Wii Shop Channel --> WiiWare --> NES --> SNES --> N64 --> Genesis --> TG-16 --> Misc. Wii Channels.

Everything on my SD Card is organized in a similar manner.

Press and hold A and B until the Channel is "grabbed", then move it to an empty slot.

Extra Wii channels are on the main menu. The rest are sorted. First all WiiWare, then VC. Everything is then sorted within its area by genre. And if there's multiple games in a series, then by entry number. (SMB-SMB:LL-SMB2-SMB3-SMW, for example)
