Topic: Have you ever thought about selling your Wii?

I know a lot of people who have thought about/are thinking about selling their wiis and all their games to get a different console (my neighbour just did recently and seems to be very happy). Recently, ive been looking at other consoles too...the 360 really, because of fight night 4, halo, gears, and other hardcore titles (not all as violent as those ones...for example braid [i have for computer but im not a PC gamer]) and often ive wanted to cash in the wii and my 20 games to buy a 360 (i know i can afford one and a few games if i did this, but i know it won't happen cuz my parents won't let me switch consoles or have more than 1 since they bought it as my present on christmas and say i shud be happy with what i have and not make this decision that i may regret. And to be honest, i think i might regret it (i think in 2010 many great games will come, but i want good games now while im in summer break xD). I'm thinking of saving up for one from a job or sumthing when i have well over enuf money for one.

All in all im asking you guys, have you ever thought about getting rid of your wii? Do you think i will regret it? What solution could you offer me?

No, I never have. And certainly not to get a 360

Never have I thought of selling a Wii by gamer standards. I did think about getting rid of it to focus on more important aspects of my life.

The longest I had to think was on getting an HD console to complement it. That took a whole year until I decided to also get a 360. Even then it was a gift.

Keep your Wii, dude. As far as I'm concerned, people who sell their Wii's to buy other game systems are all nuts. Save up for a 360 if you must, but by NO means should you sell your Wii. For it's flaws, it's still too good a system to give up, ESPECIALLY if you have downloaded games on it. I've spent more on downloaded games for Wii than I did on the Wii itself, for example.

My Wii is the only thing I've ever won in a contest, the thing is staying with me forever.

Don't bother with a 360. Just a $50 upgrade to your PC and you can enjoy all the latest 360 games with non-shitty controls. Plus, the PC has Steam.

Nope even though last year for me there was hardly any games (I only bought 2 or 3 games last year for the Wii) but this year is totally different. I already got 5 games and I waiting for 2 more to come out by the end of this month and I will also be getting 3 more games after that, so I am actually over whelmed with games this year but I am also loving it. I say save up for the 360. To this day I regret getting rid of my DreamCast for the PS2 (which I still have and love it) and the GC (which I got rid of for the Wii as the Wii plays are GC games).

I have a friend who got rid of his Wii last year cause he was saying there were not game and got a PS3 and a 360, but he bought it again this year...so I saying don't do it!

Yep I couldn't have put it better myself and Steam is awesome! I was thinking about building a PC just for that!

Too bad you can't have two. I was thinking about getting a 360 as well as having my Wii.

Of course, I am going to play Wii ALOT more, but I would like to have a 360, too. I'm getting the cheapest one.

But if you can only have one, I say definitely keep the Wii. It is the best.

wats steam, i have an imac (the new one) so do i need to upgrade? And thanks guys, i was leaning to keeping the wii, but i may buy a 360 on the side I also have so many points in vc and the amount of wasted points wud cover a third the price of a 360

Buy a Xbox 360 to have on the side. I have a Wii and Xbox 360,and that is all I need,for now...

You can look Steam up on Wikipedia but I don't know if it will run on Mac.

with 680$ worth of points spent on my wii plus the cost of the wii itself I'd be out 900$ bucks if I sold my wii

im my opion i want and xbox360 and what id did was waited patiantly and eventuly luck struck me and got and xbox360 from a phone deal at carphone ware house so kept both my wii and xbox 360 by the way xbox360s rulz as much as the wii just manly supports a diffrent genre (the xbox360)

That post made me cringe, but I will reply: Just get the 360, but don't sell your Wii to get it.

After my 360 messed up I've had a sour taste in my mouth about that system. If they'd just make a new system and assure people it wouldn't mess up in massive amounts, I would buy another.
